I just installed NP++ 4.0 (installer) at this computer (Windows XP Pro) after using 3.9 for a long time. Now Notepad++ won't start at all, no error message or something like that, nothing. I deleted config.xml and stylers.xml but it didn't help. I do have admin privileges. Any idea or did I miss something?

Look into to plugin folder. Remove follwing files when exist:
ExplorerPLUGIN.dll
FunctionListPLUGIN.dll
HexEditorPLUGIN.dll
They are outdated. The new files are names without PLUGIN. Maybe this helps.

I had this same problem in 3.9, but in 4.02 it seems to be gone.... I hope... it's incredibly annoying.
