I have been using GAIM with Google Talk (Jabber) for some time until 3 days ago where it can not log me in any more. Google Talk application can log me in OK so the same log in and password must be OK. Any one else has this problem?

One of the people here said id stopped happening to them, I've had no problems with this both at home and at work. What version of gaim are you using? What error are you getting? Can you post the contents of the Debug Window when this happens?

I just recently reinstalled/updated Gaim and noticed an error in Google's directions for Google Talk support in gaim...they state to use "googlemail.com" if you have a Google Account linked to your Gmail account, but use "Gmail" if you don't have your talk account linked to a gmail account...well it seems it's visa-versa..
I'm connected to google talk using the following settings in my Accounts pane:
Proto: Jabber
Screen name: your google account name/address, WITHOUT @gmail.com...
Server: gmail.com
Resource: Gaim
Password: doesn't matter/can be blank
Alias: blank
Use TLS when available should be enabled/checked, the rest leave it alone (unchecked)
Port: 5222
Conenct Server: talk.google.com
Proxy Type: Use global...
and that works for me...
