Update -- I pounded on v4.0 RC for about 4 days, with no sign of instability. I did not restart N++ during that time. I would have run it longer, but I had to reboot XP.
So far so good! I'll let you know if there are any more problems, but consider this one fixed!
Thanks,
-Ken

The previous version was rock solid on my Windows XP Pro machine. 3.9, however, becomes instable, sometimes only after several hours use.
Symptoms:
* Little red 'X's on tabs disappear.
* Parts of toolbar region don't render
* Parts of save dialog boxes don't render
If you continue work, the whole screen becomes unreadable.
Exiting and restarting fixes, but:
* Windows task bar is clobbered (works OK, but 'skin' has disappeared, and won't reappear until restart or changing task bar settings.
I can't duplicate these problems, but they happen consistently, and on different Windows XP machines with 3.9
Anyone else having these issues? Any fixes?
Thanks,
Ken
