I tried to save a file, which i didn't have permission to do. The save icon still remained enabled (that's ok), but there should be a popup or something that says "You do not have permission to save this file" or something like that...

In some cases the save icon is disabled others not, but in my opinion this is bad behaviour - if the file is read-only, you should AUTOMATICALLY be given a Save As dialog, I've been asking for this for ages! C'mon it's so easy to implement AND user friendly!

The problem seems to persist in v4.0RC2. The saving silently fails (I've lost many hours because of it) if user lacks write permissions to the file or it's locked by another process. In v3.9 it was possible to test whether saving succeed by trying to re-save (when failed the save icon was disabled) but in v4.0RC2 save icon stays enabled.
