I was wondering if anyone here was able to change the default working folder from where notepad++ is sitting to a user defined folder. It's very annoying to have to go back to my folder to save a new file.
Aside from that, great job on this app. I love it
John

Looking through this forum it has been asked several times, but never gets a reply. I guess that Don doesn't read the forum. Shame! It is a great little prog otherwise.

As a workaround until then, try creating shortcuts to all the areas you normally work in, and place them in the Notepad++ program directory. Give them names that make them appear first in the directory listing, then you can use them to quickly change to the right area each time you save a new file.

This maybe can help:
if you start NP++ by clicking the associated program file in your working directory then all opening and saving operations are addressed there.

That's going to be a great addition to this fantastic tool.
I do just about all of my PHP development with Notepad++ and I just want to say thanks to Don for all of the work that went into this.

He read it, be sure! But he is quite busy so that he could not post to everyone back.
Best Regards

Excellent program. Just one drawback :-(, file/save should open the folder where the previous file was saved.
