    Morning All,

Has anyone had any luck getting Gaim to connect to Microsoft Live Communication Server 2005?

I have tried the MSN protocol and also the SIP protocol and had no joy.

    Anyone got any more ideas?

    Thanks
    Chris.

        Thanks for the update Luke
Are you still researching this, or is this cancelled?

Unfortunately my company is switching from jabber+sametime to LCS, and I really hate the idea of having to run 2 IM clients.  Plus LCS client is cumbersome at best...

I'm interested in LCS connection too.

It authenticates directly through ADS, afaik.

hi chris, is there any interface available of GAIM which is able to connect with winfx(dotnet 3.0) application. I want to integrate GAIM module with my winfx application.
      Thanks,
      Abhas.

Is any work being done on LCS integration or is it a dead issue?

For me the main problem with LCS seems to be, that you normally type your username (firstname.lastname@ourdomain.tld) and the IP Address (or hostname) of the server, where the LCS is running on.
But the GUI of GAIM tells me, that it tries to connect as 'username@server'. And this seems to be impossible.
