I'm wondering if there could be an option to put the explorer view to the left of the Notepad++ window, kinda like in Windows Explorer's "folders" thing.
It's released and seems to be working nicely, but it's not currently installed by default with NP++. With some earlier versions of NP++, an earlier version of the Explorer plugin was installed by default with NP++, but it was causing some problems. As a result, Don decided to remove it from the NP++ install program, at least for now.
In my opinion, those problems have been repaired in the current version of the Explorer plugin, so I keep it installed and have been very happy with its performance.
Regards.

Jens, That sounds cool, can't wait.
IMO that would make N++ the perfect editor.

Wish I could answer this - they seem to be working in it, but it's not yet released.
Install the Explorer plugin from https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=189927.

I am developing a new version of explorer. This has many new features and will be dockable with Notepad++ 4.0.
Dont ask me when this version will be available. Maybe until next month, but I promise nothing.
Best Regards
