After resolving few performance/security related blockers (thanks Sebastian for finding and fixing those) we have the release candidate ready on demo server:
    http://demo.aplaws.org.uk/ccm/portal/

It's currently empty DB, running on PostgreSQL, to be used for stress testing by the community.
If you want to join the effort, please register and I'll assign you to the roles.

You can download the RPMs from http://aplaws.redhat.com/releases/aplaws-plus-1.0.4-rc2.tar

Source is svn trunk, we'll branch as late as possible, we expect few more last-minute fixes here and there.

    Thanks,
    Alan

We found some minor issue so I took the demo server down. I'll hope to have rc3 ready next week.

Sorry another question - will 1.0.4 only run on PostGres 8? (we're currently running v7)

      thanks

      Luke

According to a previous discussion on the forum version 8 will be the QA version, but we will not use its special features so version 7 will still work.

1.0.4 is branched in SVN and ZIPs ready for download at http://aplaws.redhat.com/releases/

http://demo.aplaws.org.uk/ is also refreshed and ready for clicking around.

Please try to install from ZIPs and give feedback here.

I did some testing over the weekend and until now it worked fine. One problem I couldn't resolve yet:

If I use the basic address of a site (i.e. http://www.mydomain.tld ) I'm redirected to the login page instead of the portal (of another page as specified in the registry). I did a fresh install. At the first look I couldn't find an error in the configuration files.

      Any hint?

      Peter

It was a bug, fixed by Sebastian.
I have rebuilt and refreshed ZIPs at http://aplaws.redhat.com/releases/
Fix is in ccm-cms, you can download only new RPM from there.

Any address under http://aplaws.redhat.com/ now redirects to https://hosted.fedoraproject.org/aplaws/. Can somebody please tell me where the 1.0.4 files are located?

I am happy to update sourceforge if someone can assign me (terry_permeance) a role. I tried contacting mentaldaze but I had no response. Who is currently managing aplaws+ on sourceforge?

      Thanks,
      Terry

You can still get last 1.0.4 zips from old server:
        http://aplaws.redhat.com/releases/
I'll ping mentaldaze to upload that to SF

      Hi Terry,

the APLAWS project is currently in a phase of restructuring ("becoming user-led").

      |  Can somebody please tell me where the 1.0.4 files are located?

As an intermediate solution you may download the current release from our website:

          http://schaedel-hirn.de/myupdates/

      |  Who is currently managing aplaws+ on sourceforge?

You may try to contact Tracy Wang  ( asuan Support Manager asuan at users.sourceforge.net)

      Good luck
      Peter

      Hi Peter,

      > the APLAWS project is currently in a phase of restructuring ("becoming user-led").

      Sounds good, but...

      Who is doing the restructuring?

What exactly do you mean by "user-led"?

What is the goal of this process?

      Thanks,
      Terry
