Is Powersave going to have a Gnome graphical interface in the near future? My laptop uses ACPI power management, but Ubuntu came pre-loaded with APM support. I'd like to use Powersave, but I have to admit, the file editing is a bit daunting.
Thanks.

No, we decide to not develop a extra GNOME Interface, because we don't have the needed man power to do so. But feel free do develop one ;-)
On the other hand you can start also KPowersave on GNOME. Not sure why Ubuntu is preleaded with APM, but you can't change the change this to ACPI via a applet. You maybe should file a bug against ubuntu if you need ACPI and only APM is the default.
Btw. there is already a package of powersave and kpowersave for Ubuntu in their repos.
