    matthias - 2006-05-09

hi, me again. Your workaround worked. Three little issues though. When moving around the highlighted box in the editor I get some ugly artifacts. When trying to save the data with ctrl-s, rkward crashes and I could not figure out how to save the data as a table (in order to enable non-rkward-users to edit and use my data; when using the save as table-option, no usable datafile is created .. am I too stupid?
    greetings

      Hi Matthias,

unfortunately, I can not reproduce any of issues, therefore, could you submit some more info?

      1) Artifacts: I don't see any. Could you a) specify the version of Qt you're using (maybe it's a problem there), b) if it happens again, provide a screenshot (send to rkward-devel at lists dot sf dot net)?

      2) Ctrl-S should save the entire R workspace, and it works, here (somewhat non-intuitively it does not save only the active table; we'll have to find a more consistent solution some day). When exactly does the crash occur? Before/after you are asked to specify a filename? Any messages to be seen on the console?

      3) "Save as table": Again, I can't reproduce. The "Save as table" option - by default - produces a file in tab-separated values format. You should be able to open the file in a regular text-editor, and check whether it looks correct. Is a file created at all? If it is created, but corrupted, could you send an example to the mailing list? Any messages in the "Command Log" or on the console?
(I do see two bogus errors about "incomplete statement", which of course will be fixed, but still the file is created correctly for me).

Thanks for reporting, and sorry, I can't help you immediately. Please provide the additional info, then I'll see what I can do.

      Regards
      Thomas
