AMD Dual Core X2 3800+ processor
SuSe Linux 10.0 64 bit
NVidia GeForce 6100 graphics driver
KPowersave starts up with CPU frequency scaling set to 'dynamic' and I see a continuous screen flicker. If I change it to 'performance' or 'powersave' the flicker goes away. Problem is I have to do this everytime after I boot, so till there is a fix for this, how do I set the default CPU frquency scaling to anything other than 'dynamic'?
Thanks

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Simply set CPUFREQUENCY="dynamic" to CPUFREQUENCY="performance" in /etc/sysconfig/powersave/scheme_performance . Of course depending on the scheme you are using.

Of course, you could also use the YaST Powermanagement module.
