I am  an newbie to DBforms and has trouble understanding/implementing
    the Date searches...
I got a DBform where in I need to search by the dates and my backend
DBMS is oracle. and value is stored in as 'mm/dd/yyyy hh:mi:ss am'

that  date is stored in as 6/9/2005 5:15:15 PM

When I tried to search this with anykind ALOGIRTHM  modes ie Weakend,
Weak start.. etc.. my search condition is always resulting  =  but
    never LIKE..
I see LIKE happening only 'CHAR' datatypes but not DATE data types...?

Is there something I need to do.,  Does Preselect Interceptor is going
to help me.. Any help or pointers is really appreciated

My end user would like to search only

    mm/dd/yyyy format ie 05/12/2005

    I got the ApplicationResources.properties configured..

    Please help

    /SS

Did'nt you get the answer from the mailing list?
        Here it is:

Like is only defined for char fields. So dbforms generates like only for char fields.
You can use the shortcuts with mm/dd/yyyy- but no like
