I really need feature that will support FTP editing/saving
Im not a big Novell fan, but Novells free NetDrive program works well for that sort of thing. It can handle multiple FTP connections and treats them as if they where hard drives in windows. Hence you can open and files directly off of the web using Notepad++ context menu or through filre|open. When you click save or saveall it updates the changes through the FTP connection rather than you having to download and upload files.
I wish FileZilla would work better, but it makes you set up notepad++ as default file editor and is really slow :(
Hope this Helps!

PS. If anyone knows of a better freeware program than NetDrive, let me know. Thanks. :)
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
and in the Run menu of Notepad++, use the following
"C:\Program Files\FileZilla\FileZilla.exe" -u "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)" ftp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@ftp.SERVER.com -t "$(FILE_NAME)"
(taken from http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/cmdline.htm\)
works for me :)

I would be nice if there will be an option to open files from FTP and save them to FTP
That would be nice
Yes, I think that would improve this great editor.
It's rather an extension than a build-in feature.
It may be implemented (by me or by the one who is interested) as the plugin system is ready.

When can we expect plugin support in this great tool? I really need feature that will support FTP editing/saving...

Oh, buddy, many thx for this advise about NetDrive. I think now I do not need any FTP plugin for NOTEPAD++ :)
Cool, I'm glad it helped.

The plugin support is planning in v3.2.
Note that it's just an estimation but not a promise.

Any updates on this?
Does ftp support still commes into notepad++ or not?
I realy like it if it was :D

NO, I hope not! I don't want an FTP client in what's supposed to be a text editor! This would turn an excellent editor into bloatware.
Try Filezilla as your FTP client
http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/
and in the Run menu of Notepad++, use the following
"C:\Program Files\FileZilla\FileZilla.exe" -u "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)" ftp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@ftp.SERVER.com -t "$(FILE_NAME)"
(taken from http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/cmdline.htm\)
works for me :)
