Things you can try to speed it up:
- Turn off Satellites
- Turn off Shadows
- Get latest video drivers
- Dont add alot of objects
- Set lower maximums of objects

Shadows are very computing intensive in ai.planet. Leave them off except for making screenshots. Use the default planet size. It's large enough for thousands of creatures. Set maximums for your populations (see the manual). Get a faster graphics card (Radeon 9600 Pro should be more than sufficient and is in the 160$-180$ range I think).

I have the min. System requirements, but despite high end games like Postal 2 running fine on my system, this thing crawls like crazy.
I have an AMD Atholon 1700, Geforce2, and 768 ram.
Will you find a way to speed this all up?
Runs fine on my computer: P3 900 Geforce4.
