Revision history?

    Hi;

    I noticed you are not using the Version Control System that is available on sourceforge. I guess this is because you don't plan to make any future development efforts.

    In any case, it's a safe bet that you did use a VCS in the past and while you've done quite a nice job documenting stuff, it would be pretty good to rescue in some form that revision history. I know..sometimes there are copyright reasons NOT to do this, but I just couldn't help suggest it.

      Hi,

      Thanks for the suggestion.  Some of this code dates back to the late 80's so its been in
      a number of revision control systems, and in fact this code came from 2 separate systems,
      and the documentation from a 3rd.  We didn't pull in the history because there was just
      too darn much.  I'd like to check this code into an appropriate revision control system
      but just haven't had a chance to do it yet.

      I'll second that I'd love to see the RCS metadata too...

      FWIW...

      According to another thread the HP-UX code used clearcase: since the HPUX stuff is most recent, and presumably with the shorter history, it should be rather effortless to run svnimporter (at Polarion .org) and merge it into sourceforge.

      Yeah.. I know .. more easily said than done ;-)
