The service assumes that if Wi-Fi data transfer rate is less than 64KiB per minute for 15 minutes in a row then there's no application that actively uses Wi-Fi. The protocol MCOM (Multipoint relay Connectionless Multicast) is a connectionless multicast protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. It scales with a large number of multicast groups and has a good protection for packet delivery under high mobility. The MCOM protocol is suited for dynamic MANETs in terms of mobility and the density of multicast group members. This source code of MCOM is implemented in Click Modular Router, a software architecture for building flexible and configurable routers.
