As of August 2018 Spheral++ has moved to Github -- please see the current repository at https://github.com/jmikeowen/spheral We are leaving a frozen version here on SourceForge for historical reasons. Spheral++ provides a steerable parallel environment for performing coupled hydrodynamical & gravitational numerical simulations. Hydrodynamics and gravity are modelled using particle based methods (SPH and N-Body).

Real-time SPH fluid simulation and rendering via GPU raycasting

Software developed for master thesis at Technische Universität Müchen. See thesis (under "files") for details. Sourcecode: https://github.com/pflaumental/fluid-particles/ Abstract: Fluid simulation based on smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) is a practical method for the representation of liquids in interactive applications like virtual surgical training or computer games. In recent years various papers introduced ideas for both, the SPH simulation and its visualization. This thesis explains detailed a straightforward CPU-executed implementation of the simulation, as well as an entirely GPU-executed visualization technique using isosurface raycasting, which allows the realtime rendering of multiple refractions. ...

    2DSPH-Simulator

    Smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulator

Attention V2 is now Online: Simple 2D SPH Simulator with some special functions. It's possible to load data with two different methods. One based on geometry objects, the second one on placing every SPH particle on it's own. It's possible to save simulations and to restart calculations from this safepoints. A tempSave-file is written to restart simulations, if they crash from an earlier point. Now in v2 an example is added with a FEM beam and a moving piston. Both are hardcoded in...
