    Sys6801

Resources for soft-core systems using 6801/6803 like cpu core

This is a collection of tools and resources for soft-core systems based about a CPU like that in the MC6801 and MC6803 microcontrollers. The CPU itself is John E. Kent's cpu01.vhd file. John has been a huge inspiration in the development of this project. The assembler and linker are from Alan Baldwin's ASxxxx tools project. Alan has also has been a help. This project was first developed for the Computer Systems Lab course that I regularly teach. The materials in this project may be useful to others interested in such softcore processor design.

    image spinning

An experiment in assembly language computer programming.

I have added a new exe file which is a bit improved. It's the same one that I put in "photo rotate". It can load lots of jpeg pictures. As before the program is To spin a picture so it spins around freely through 360 deg turns. This description is about the older version of my program. An experiment in assembly language programming, its .asm file is here, it is compiled by the free fasmw assembler. The program needs a .bmp type of picure having between 1400 and 500 pixels diameter....

Programming tools for emulator of eight bit computer ORAO

Smederevo, 05, august 2018 Long time ago, about 1986 I have become proud owner of eight bit computer ORAO based on MOS 6502 processor. It was first and for me the best home computer at that time. My whole knowledge of computer programming begins with that computer. Recently for some unknown reason I have become interested in old eight bit computers again. After short search on the Internet I have found emulator of my favorite computer. It literally emulates every peace of hardware...
