The program considers monatomic armchair nanotubes, and the geometric parameters considered are: the length of the bonds perpendicular to the tube axis, the length of the non-perpendicular bonds, and the angle between two non-perpendicular bonds." -

Therefore, a package was developed to calculate the parameters commonly associated with armchair-type nanotubes, along with their average values. The program works for one or more chemical species present in the structure. It is implemented to run in both Linux and MS Windows command-line interfaces, without the need for the user to employ any visualization software to manually specify each atom delimiting the distance. Preliminary versions of this program have been used to obtain results published in indexed journals. -

For installation, just install Java, download the je.jar file, and start the program with "java -jar java.jar" on a command line. For more easy use, create a batch file on your system containing something like "javaw -jar java.jar %1" (Windows syntax shown). The editor will create backups by default, and you can set a backup directory. It creates a .je.cfg configuration file in your home directory for the settings.

An MCP2210 chip along with a CD74HC132E quad Nand gate used as glue logic is used to interface with an HX711 load cell amplifier. Python along with the PyUSB library is used for control. Tkinter is used as both a visual interface and thread manager. The program uses workcells which are virtual autonomous machines which communicate over a virtual peer to peer network. This results in a very simple asynchronous event driven program environment. Communication between workcells is done by message passing along with an object as payload. The SPI transceiver on the MCP2210 is used for reading data from the HX711 with a general purpose pin along with the glue logic used to generate the additional 1 to 3 clocks required for HX711 gain setting. ... -
