This is a starter template for a MkDocs Jekyll theme. GitHub pages uses Jekyll natively, so when I make documentation, I typically look for Jekyll templates. Why? Using Jekyll means that I can use markdown, and allow for users to easily contribute, and build automatically just by way of pushing to a master branch (or general GitHub pages). I’ve liked MkDocs in the past, but it required me to use a special renderer. I also felt limited in my ability to customize it. The same is true for MkDocs material. It’s absolutely gorgeous, but was not suited for my GitHub pages and customization needs. For this reason, I’ve spent some time creating a custom Jekyll template that is (almost) as beautiful and includes all the features that I might want. -

This repsitory holds the source for a SKS PGP Key Server website similer to keyserver.mattrude.com. This is only the HTML source code for the supporting documentation site for the PGP server, not the PGP Keyserver software used on the server. If you are building your own sks-keyserver, and would like to display a nice frontend for it, please look at the pgpkeyserver-lite project for a simple frontend site. Jekyll is a static site generator built in Ruby on Rails. With this approach, you are able to build a high-power build site, using a low-power, very stable webserver running a static site. Jekyll is not needed on the webserver, updates must be done by a build system, from this source repository, then sent to the webserver. -

I couldn’t find any formal or professional résumé (CV) website with good typography that is optimized for the Web, print, PDF, and mobile. Also, researching what recruiters want, my priorities were fast scanning time and all content to fit on one page. Replace every -letter with -a4, and uncomment specified code blocks. Tailwind CSS is a highly customizable, low-level CSS framework that gives you all of the building blocks you need to build bespoke designs without any annoying opinionated styles you have to fight to override. It has a great documentation. -

Designing WordPress themes the old-fashioned way is time-consuming and error-prone. Automating the build process allows us to integrate best practices into our workflow while saving time. This project is a starter kit for developing highly optimized WordPress themes with Gulp, npm, and Sass, among other tools. This is not meant to be a starter theme or framework (although I have included a minimum viable theme to demonstrate some of the possibilities). It is, instead, a kind of project scaffolding and example workflow for modern and efficient WordPress theme development. The latest version of this starter kit features a modular Gulp file design inspired by Dan Tello's excellent gulp-starter. Configuration is isolated from the tasks themselves to make it easier to change paths and modify settings. This approach is slightly more complicated than what I originally outlined on my blog but also far more powerful. -
