This code works best with the NodeMCU V2 ESP8266 module and an 0.96" OLED display. To get you up and running in no time we created a kit that contains all the necessary parts. By buying this and other kits from us you are funding the maintenance and development of this library. Make sure you use a version of the Arduino IDE which is supported by the ESP8266 platform. If you are using the PlatformIO environment for building, choose one of the available IDE integration or the Atom-based IDE, install libraries 561, 562, and 563 with "platformio lib install", adapt the WeatherStationDemo.ino file to your needs. The simple class uses the header date and time to set the clock. NTP-based time class written by Fabrice Weinberg. We fixed many bugs and improved performance and changed the API a little bit. This electronic weather station system involves two weather stations that communicate with each other via XBEE RF modules and upload and download information from a Website via an RN-171-XV Wi-Fi module. The design files include the Fritzing CAD files, the etchable PDF PCB layout files, the Gerber files, parts listings, software listings (embedded software listings and Website scripts), and schematics of the circuit boards. There are two circuit boards which are the main controller board and the Timer/Regulator board. The Main controller board performs all the processing of the system. The timer/regulator board converts the 12vdc input voltage to the 3.3v and 5v DC voltages used by the main controller board. The timer/regulator board communicates with the main board via a serial communication cable. The timer/regulator board can be commanded by the main board to power the system down for a precise interval in order to conserve battery power. A Web-based control panel SW is included.

WxTools (Weather Data Tool Suite) is a collection of software for collecting and displaying weather data from various weather stations. The software works with the Fine Offset WH290 and similar models (including clones such as the Pro-Signal PSG04173). It also works with the Oregon Scientific WMR180 weather station (and probably similar models such as the WMR88 and WMR100) as well as the older WMR928. Sample weather data is provided.

This project was started so I could publish the data from my own weather station on my balcony. That project is still under development but the software that broadcasts the data is 'finished' and should be useful for things other than weather stations. This software is a set of tools to stream data directly from instrumentation via databases, to webpages. This starts with a driver, taking serial ascii data to an SQLite database. Subsequently client applications can take this data to display on webpages, export to text file, and almost anything else. The driver has been written using the mingw port of the gcc compiler, currently the system runs on Windows XP, however the design is deliberately cross platform, and linux based serial port interfaces will be added. The first client is written in php, and tested using the Apache web server. The client is currently a proof of concept, and needs some work!
