    SetBingWP

Sets bing's picture of the day as wallpaper for your desktop.

setBingWP.sh is a bash shell script that's meant to be run when you login to your Linux, Windows or Mac desktop. It checks your internet connection, downloads the image of the day from bing.com, optionally includes the image's description into the picture and sets it as wallpaper for your desktop environment. Like this you have a different, beautiful desktop background every day.

    planet-slideshow

Wallpaper maker with xplanet renderings and image slideshow

...Additionally the script can work also as a wallpaper slideshow (i.e. taking a background image - usually a picture - randomly from a folder or supplied from the command line). The picture image can be stretched to full-screen or re-sized and re-positioned on the wallpaper next to XPlanet renderings. The script is written in Bash (Bourne-again shell), and requires XPlanet, ImageMagick and optionally POM (PhaseOfTheMoon). It should work on all platforms with bash installed and possibly on Cygwin.
