    The Ocular Migraine

    The Ocular Migraine

The Ocular Migraine {Dev Mode} Master Control Program

...It operates as a “master control program” that leverages ADB-level access to modify device settings that are typically hidden from standard users, enabling extensive customization of CPU, GPU, and rendering parameters. The application allows users to create custom performance profiles that can automatically apply when launching specific games or applications, optimizing both visuals and performance. It also includes tools for backing up and restoring games, adjusting recording settings such as bitrate and resolution, and even editing recorded video directly on the device. Additional features such as kiosk mode, access control lists, and startup app configuration provide advanced control over how the headset behaves in different scenarios.

    HadesVR

    HadesVR

The "DIY" SteamVR compatible VR setup made for tinkerers

...The setup includes DIY controllers that are capable of emulating HTC vive wands or most aspects of the Valve Index Knuckles controllers (including finger tracking!). It also includes tracking electronics for a Headset, including an integrated wireless receiver to receive the controllers' data. There's also custom controller hardware like 3d printable shells (still a bit of a WIP) with their respective custom PCBs to build your own Knuckles controllers. The SteamVR driver used to be based on TrueOpenVR but it's modified so heavily I'm making it its own thing. This driver also uses PSMoveService (for now at least) for the positional tracking of HMD and controllers, using ping pong balls and different colors of LED's. ...

    Qualisys Unity SDK

    Qualisys Unity SDK

Unity package for the C# (.NET) implementation for Qualisys Track

Animating characters is straightforward with automatic mapping between Unity’s Mecanim human bones and QTM segments. Just add the skeleton script, set the actor name of the QTM skeleton and press play. Using a QTM rigid body to set the position and orientation of a GameObject is equally easy. Just add a script to the GameObject and set the name of the QTM rigid body. Get a real-time stream of motion capture data in Unity with minimal latency. This makes it possible to drive characters, rigid...

    hubs-research-acm-chi-2021

    hubs-research-acm-chi-2021

Supplemental code and dataset for the ACM CHI 2021 paper

...Virtual environments (VEs) can create collaborative and social spaces, which are increasingly important in the face of remote work and travel reduction. Recent advances, such as more open and widely available platforms, create new possibilities to observe and analyze interaction in VEs. Using a custom instrumented build of Mozilla Hubs to measure position and orientation, we conducted an academic workshop to facilitate a range of typical workshop activities. We analyzed social interactions during a keynote, small group breakouts, and informal networking/hallway conversations.
