WebCam Eye-Tracker.
GazeRecorder automatically records using ordinary webcams, where people look and what they engage with on their computer screens.
In comparison with conventional eye tracking - that uses specialized technology and invites respondents to labs – GazeRecoreder is able to track people’s eyes with their own computers at home.
Video Recorder/Reader for Virtual Reality Experiments
The tools in this project are used by the Virtual Reality lab at University of Texas at Austin to record the stream of rendered images (OpenGL) and combine them with eye tracking data (if eyes are being tracked) and user defined metadata.
The project is split into two parts. DVR is used to record the data stream as a QuickTime movie. The RVD is used to read the movie recorded by the DVR.

The application itself was written on Gambas2 and uses "ffmpeg" to record the video, as this post it can be used but still lacks functions(lots of them) and stability.
The application uses "gambas2" to run, "ffmpeg" to record the screen and "xwininfo" to get window dimensions. They need to be installed manually, on Ubuntu is done with:
$ sudo apt-get install gambas2 ffmpeg xwininfo

Opengazer uses an ordinary webcam to track the direction of your gaze and pass it to other programs. For example, with "Dasher" you can "write with your eyes". This is a low-cost software alternative to commercial hardware-based eye trackers.
