Years of frustration with the lack of auto-incrementing of the versions number has resulted in this little console app. It can be run from the Visual Studio Build Events (I use it in the Pre-build event command line). Can also be run in a command window (good for seeing the help). Gitslave is a script for coordinated version control of large projects combining code from multiple independent repositories using Git. More flexible than traditional git submodules, gitslave provides a simple wrapper around command-line git that manages a directory tree with multiple subsidiary ("slave") git repositories in sub-directories of a "master" git repository. Any git command run from the "gits" wrapper will be performed in all the git repositories; for example gits checkout -b newbranch will create the new branch in all repositories. Gitslave has been used for mid-sized product development with many slave repositories (representing different programs and plugins), branches, tags, and developers; and for single-person repositories tracking groups of .emacs and .vim repositories (in the latter case, it is basically used to keep the slave repositories up to date via a single command). -

prcs2hg is a command (and also a Python package) to convert a PRCS project to Mercurial revisions. It would help you publish the revision history of an obsolete project whose changes were maintained with PRCS. prcs2hg requires a working prcs command to extract versions from a PRCS repository and this project also provides the restored 'k' versions of PRCS for use with prcs2hg. The subversion copy command "svn cp" does not include svn:externals into the copy. This behaviour leads sometimes to mistakes during creation of branches or tags.
