    GitHub Pages Deploy Action

    GitHub Pages Deploy Action

Automatically deploy your project to GitHub Pages using GitHub Actions

Automatically deploy your project to GitHub Pages using GitHub Actions. This action can be configured to push your production-ready code into any branch you'd like. You can include the action in your workflow to trigger any event that GitHub actions supports. If the remote branch that you wish to deploy to doesn't already exist the action will create it for you. Your workflow will also need to include the actions/checkout step before this workflow runs in order for the deployment to work. If you intend to make multiple deployments in quick succession you may need to leverage the concurrency parameter in your workflow to prevent overlaps. ...

    pretty-quick

    pretty-quick

    Get Pretty Quick

...Partially staged files will not be re-staged after formatting and pretty-quick will exit with a non-zero exit code. The intent is to abort the git commit and allow the user to amend their selective staging to include formatting fixes. When not in staged pre-commit mode, use this flag to compare changes with the specified branch. Defaults to master (git) / default (hg) branch. Do not resolve prettier config when determining which files to format, just use standard set of supported file types & extensions prettier supports. This may be useful if you do not need any customization and see performance issues. ...

    git absorb

    git absorb

    git commit --fixup, but automatic

...This is essentially doing hg histedit + "roll" actions without having to make a commit or manually make history modification rules. The command essentially looks at the lines that were modified, finds a changeset modifying those lines, and amends that changeset to include your uncommitted changes. If the changes can't be made without conflicts, they remain uncommitted. This workflow is insanely useful for things like applying review feedback. You just make file changes, run hg absorb and the mapping of changes to commits sorts itself out. It is magical.

    Dulwich

    Dulwich

    Pure-Python Git implementation

...Git once attended a cocktail party. Supported Python versions are Python 3.5 and later. Versions of Dulwich prior to 0.20 also supported Python 2.7. Supported platforms include Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. Dulwich comes with both a lower-level API and higher-level plumbing ("porcelain"). By default, Dulwich' setup.py will attempt to build and install the optional C extensions. The reason for this is that they significantly improve the performance since some low-level operations that are executed often are much slower in CPython.

    maven git commit id plugin

    maven git commit id plugin

Maven plugin which includes build-time git repository information

...The plugin is available from Maven Central (see here), so you don't have to configure any additional repositories to use this plugin. A detailed description of using the plugin is available in the Using the plugin document. All you need to do in the basic setup is to include that plugin definition in your pom.xml. For more advanced users we also prepared a guide to provide a brief overview of the more advanced configurations. Even though this plugin tries to be compatible with every Maven version there are some known limitations with specific versions.

    git-chglog

    git-chglog

CHANGELOG generator implemented in Go (Golang)

Package chglog implements the main logic for the CHANGELOG generate. git-chglog internally uses the git command to get data to include in the CHANGELOG. The basic steps are as follows. Get all the tags. Get the commits contained between tagA and tagB. Execute all tags corresponding to the tag query that was specified in Steps 1 and 2. The compiled docker images are maintained on quay.io. git-chglog requires configuration files and templates to generate a CHANGELOG.

    Znap!

    Znap!

Znap! Fast, easy-to-use tools for Zsh dotfiles & plugins

...Using Znap to manage your plugins can be as simple as putting this in your .zshrc file. Additionally, Znap makes it so that you actually need to have less in your .zshrc file, by automating several tasks for you. Note that the above example does not include any call to complist, compinit, or bashcompinit in the .zshrc file. That is because Znap will run these for you as needed. Znap compiles your scripts and functions in the background. This way, your shell will start up even faster next time! Znap automatically regenerates your comp dump file whenever you install or update a repo or change your .zshrc file. ...

    meta

    meta

Tool for turning many repos into a meta repo

...meta is powered by plugins that wrap common commands, letting you execute them against some or all of the repos in your solution at once. meta is built on loop, and as such inherits loops ability to easily target a particular set of directories for executing a common command (eg meta git status --include-only dir1,dir2. See loop for more available options). meta is a tool for managing multi-project systems and libraries. It answers the conundrum of choosing between a mono repo or many repos by saying "both", with a meta repo! Give every engineer on your team the same project setup, regardless of where it's cloned. Execute arbitrary commands against many repos to manage your projects. ...

    git-secrets

    git-secrets

Prevents you from committing secrets and credentials into git

git-secrets is a Git extension that helps prevent secrets—API keys, credentials, tokens, private keys—from being accidentally committed into version control. It works by applying configurable regular-expression patterns over commit contents (and merge history) and rejecting commits or merges that violate the policy. The tool includes hooks that integrate into git commit and git merge, as well as commands to list, add, or remove secret patterns, and to scan existing history for leaks. Teams...

    sourcerer.io

    sourcerer.io

Sourcerer app makes a visual profile from your GitHub and git repos

Sourcerer app makes a visual profile from your GitHub and git repositories. Creating your profile is just the first step for us at Sourcerer. Some of the things on our roadmap include engineers to follow and learn from, technology and libraries you should know about, and projects that could use your help. The app looks at repos locally on your machine, and then sends stats to sourcerer.io. The best way to verify is to look at the code. Protobuf messages declared in src/main/proto/sourcerer.proto is a good start as it describes the client-server protocol. ...

    git-cal

    git-cal

github like contributions calendar on terminal

...The output works in standard shells, making it handy for dashboards, status emails, or a lightweight snapshot of productivity without opening a browser. Options typically let you choose time ranges, color intensity (where terminals support it), and which repositories to include. Because it reads local Git metadata, it respects your privacy and can include private work you don’t push to public remotes. For developers who like quick visual feedback in the CLI, git-cal turns raw commit timestamps into an at-a-glance activity portrait.

    svn-deepcopy

Creates a deep copy of a subversion repository item.

The subversion copy command "svn cp" does not include svn:externals into the copy. This behaviour leads sometimes to mistakes during creation of branches or tags. The svn-deepcopy tool overcomes this problem by including external references into the branch or tag. In contrast to other tools, svn-deepcopy preserves the revision history.
