    React Native Material Kit

    React Native Material Kit

Bringing Material Design to React Native

A set of UI components, in the purpose of introducing Material Design to apps built with React Native, quickly and painlessly. First, cd to your RN project directory, and install RNMK through rnpm . If you don't have rnpm, you can install RNMK from npm with the command npm i -S react-native-material-kit and link it manually. Apply Material Design Buttons with a few lines of code using predefined builders, which comply with the Material Design Lite default theme. And you can definitely build customized buttons from scratch. Built-in textfields, which comply with Material Design Lite. Customize textfields through builder. You can customize the styles by changing the global theme, which affects all checkboxes across the whole app. You can customize the styles by changing the global theme, which affects all radio buttons across the whole app.

    React Native Navigation

    React Native Navigation

A complete native navigation solution for React Native

React Native Navigation is a module, dependent on and intended to be used alongside React Native, so some experience with it and knowledge of core concepts is required. We also assume you are working on a Mac with XCode and Android Studio installed and setup. You can also make it work in a Linux distribution, of course, but in that case bear in mind that some sections of the docs that deal with iOS might not be relevant to you. When your app is launched for the first time, the bundle is parsed and executed. At this point you need to display your UI. To do so, listen to the appLaunched event and call Navigation.setRoot when that event is received. When your app is launched, RN makes sure JS context (which is what enables you to execute JavaScript code) is running. There are quite a few differences between iOS and Android in this regard.

    React Native Tab View

    React Native Tab View

A cross-platform Tab View component for React Native

A cross-platform Tab View component for React Native. Implemented using react-native-pager-view on Android & iOS, and PanResponder on Web, macOS, and Windows. To use this library you need to ensure you are using the correct version of React Native. If you are using a version of React Native that is lower than 0.63 you will need to upgrade that before attempting to use this library. The package exports a TabView component which is the one you'd use to render the tab view, and a TabBar component which is the default tab bar implementation. Always define your components elsewhere in the top level of the file. If you pass inline functions, it'll re-create the component every render, which will cause the entire route to unmount and remount every change. It's very bad for performance and will also cause any local state to be lost.

    RxBinding

    RxBinding

RxJava binding APIs for Android's UI widgets

RxJava binding APIs for Android UI widgets from the platform and support libraries. One of the greatest benefits of using RxJava is the possibility of composing asynchronous events in a simpler and more straightforward way. Complex UI interactions in Android can also be simplified as well, especially when there are multiple UI events that can be triggered. To describe the interaction pattern with standard Android code, you would usually need to use a combination of both listeners, Handlers and AsyncTask. With RxJava and RxBinding, this logic can be greatly simplified and you can describe the interaction patterns between multiple UI components. You can use the RxJava to convert Android view events to Observables. Essentially the library wraps the listener and implements the Observable interface. RxBinding can be indicated as an extension for RxJava, which helps you to use it on Android development simply and easily.

    SCLAlertView

    SCLAlertView

Beautiful animated Alert View written in Swift

Animated Alert View written in Swift, which can be used as a UIAlertView or UIAlertController replacement. Since UIAlertView is deprecated and UIAlertController only works on iOS 8.x or above, if you have a Swift project where you want to support iOS 7.x too, SCLAlertView is an ideal substitution. I tried to build an easy to use API, while beeing flexible enough for multiple variations, but I'm sure there are ways of improving and adding more features, so feel free to collaborate with ideas, issues and/or pull requests. You can customize the animation styles.

    SWTableViewCell

    SWTableViewCell

    An easy-to-use UITableViewCell subclass

SWTableViewCell brings swipeable utility actions to UITableViewCell, mimicking the native Mail app’s left/right swipe behaviors on iOS. It wraps a cell’s content in a scrollable container so revealing actions feels smooth and physics-correct, while keeping layout compatibility with Auto Layout. Developers configure arrays of utility buttons for either side and receive delegate callbacks when a button is tapped or the cell’s state changes. The library manages gesture conflicts, ensures only one cell is open at a time if desired, and provides helpers to programmatically show/hide utility views. Because it’s built as a drop-in subclass, adoption typically requires minimal refactoring of existing table code. It became a staple for production apps before Apple introduced first-party swipe actions, and it remains useful where full visual customization or cross-version consistency is needed.

    Scroll Bottom Sheet

    Scroll Bottom Sheet

Cross platform scrollable bottom sheet with virtualisation support

Cross-platform scrollable bottom sheet with virtualization support, native animations at 60 FPS and fully implemented in JS land. Integrates with all core scrollable components from React Native: FlatList, ScrollView and SectionList. Also, it's 100% compatible with Expo. FlatList and SectionList components are 1st class citizens, as well as ScrollView. It's recommended you install a version of gesture handler equal or higher than 1.6.0, and for reanimated, equal or higher than 1.7.0. Otherwise you may run into unexpected errors. This library is also compatible with reanimated 2.x, starting with react-native-reanimated: 2.0.0-alpha.4.

    Shimmer for Android

    Shimmer for Android

An easy way to add a shimmering effect to any view in an Android app

Shimmer is an Android library that provides an easy way to add a shimmer effect to any view in your Android app. It is useful as an unobtrusive loading indicator that was originally developed for Facebook Home. Shimmer for Android is implemented as a layout, which means that you can simply nest any view inside a ShimmerFrameLayout tag, and call to start the animation from your code. That's all that is required. The layout will use the values you specify either on the tag (using custom attributes) or programmatically in your code, and generate an animation on the fly. See the API reference for further details. Note that you cannot use the custom attributes on the tag if you use the Jar file. You can instead download the AAR file and reference that locally in your project. You can use the included Gradle wrapper to build the Shimmer library and sample application locally as well.

We started to developing a tablet user interface based on gnome-shell

We started the project for school. Now the school project has finished and we plan to bring the project further. As said, it's based on gnome-shell. We took the source code of the gnome-shell and started to adapt it on touchscreen devices. Up to now we stayed fully compatible with the gnome-shell extension system. At the moment the software works just for the gnome-shell 3.2 shipped with Fedora 16 but we should adapt it for Ubuntu's gnome-shell version as well as for the newest releases of the gnome-shell. For the next steps we hope that we can integrate more social networks in the UI.

Customizable set of components for React Native applications

Shoutem UI is a set of styleable components that enables you to build beautiful React Native applications for iOS and Android. All of our components are built to be both composable and customizable. Each component has a predefined style that is compatible with the rest of the Shoutem UI, which makes it possible to build complex components that look great without the need to manually define complex styles. You can also use standard React Native components in your layouts anywhere you want, but they will not inherit either the theme or the parent styles, so you will need to style them manually. Shoutem UI is a part of the Shoutem UI Toolkit that enables you to build professional-looking React Native apps with ease.

    Side Menu Android

    Side Menu Android

Side menu with some categories to choose

Side menu with some categories to choose. Depends on Ozodrukh's animation util for CircularReveal animation for 2.3+ version. First of all, you have to upload the animation submodule with git submodule update --init command. Or you can add gradle dependency with command. To add gradle dependency you need to open build.gradle (in your app folder, not in a project folder) then copy and add the dependencies there in the dependencies block. After you have to create special overlay layout to show in behind current Circular Reveal animated view. And to add all items to menu you have to add all of them into LinearLayout. All menu items should implement Resourceble interface to get menu item name and drawable res And all fragments should implement ScreenShotable to get a screenshot of a fragment. You can customize icons that you place in the menu, or add more items. Simply by changing the list you parse to view animator.

    Slideout.js

    Slideout.js

A touch slideout navigation menu for your mobile web apps

Implementing Slideout.js into your project is easy. Slideout is available on cdnjs. Also you can use one of many package managers. First of all, you'll need to create your markup. You should have a menu (#menu) and a main content (#panel) into your body. Add the Slideout.js styles (index.css) in your web application. Then you just include Slideout.js, create a new instance with some options and call the toggle method. Supports Chrome (IOS, Android, desktop), Firefox (Android, desktop), Safari (IOS, Android, desktop), Opera (desktop), and IE 10+ (desktop and mobile). You can use the special HTML attribute data-slideout-ignore to disable dragging on some elements. For example, if you have to prevent slideout will open when touch on carousels, maps, iframes, etc. The slideout emits translatestart, translate and translateend events only when it is opening/closing via touch events.
