An integrated CASE system that: • Supports multiple views and stages of project development – from keeping track of reference documentation to analysis/design modelling, to project implementation, roll-out and tracking the project-related issues. • Supports distributed development of projects by multiple participants, while proactively enforcing access control rules and auditing changes. • Is available on all platforms where development takes place (Windows, Unix/Linux, MacOS, Solaris, etc.) • Offers ideological and conceptual integrity across all facilities. By adapting a new approach to CASE tool architecture (integration at repository level and developing a component-based CASE system instead of a monolithic tool) an entirely new species of tools can be brought into a useful existence – an integrated environment where all project-related activities can be performed efficiently.

Umple is technology for Model-Oriented Programming. It adds abstractions such as UML associations, attributes, and state machines to object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, PHP and Ruby. A developer can use Umple in one of several ways. They can start with a pure model, containing only classes, associations, attributes and state machines, and then gradually add methods in one of the base languages to the Umple code base. Alternatively a developer can start with a normal program in a language like Java, and add modeling constructs in very small increments, gradually moving their system from a code-centric system from a model-centric system. Either way, Umple provides top-quality code generation. Umple is being used, for real systems. In fact the Umple compiler itself was written in Umple. Any Java, C++ or PHP project could use Umple. SeaMonster is a security modeling tool for threat models. It supports notations that security experts and analyzers are already familiar with, namely attack trees and misuse cases, and can connect to a repository for model sharing and reuse.

Mimosa is a modeling and simulation platform, covering the process from building conceptual models to running the simulations. The specification uses ontologies and an extensible set of formalisms for the dynamics. The simulation kernel is based on DEVS.

CM3 describes a set of plugins for several UML-Tools by adding validation-mechanisms to the tool. This enables the team to setup several individual validation-rules for their models.

JAS-mine is a Java platform that aims at providing a unique simulation tool for discrete-event simulations, including agent-based and microsimulation models. With the aim to develop large-scale, data-driven models, the main architectural choice of JAS-mine is to use whenever possible standard, open-source tools already available in the software development community. It has built-in utilities for communicating with an underlying relational database. In addition, the platform provides standard tools which are frequently used both in agent-based modelling and dynamic microsimulations, like design of experiments (DOE), run-time monitoring and visualization with plots and graphs (GUI), I/O communication and statistical analysis. Calculation of camshafts - allows to define a camshaft profile on the set trajectory which should provide the given mechanism. The trajectory can be set graphically, co-ordinates or function.

ConceptBase.cc is a multi-user deductive and object-oriented database system for metamodeling and method engineering. Includes a graphical client that builds upon the logic-based features of the ConceptBase.cc server. The data model is O-Telos. ConceptBase.cc can represent information at the data level (example data, traces of process executions etc.), the class level (schemas, process definitions etc.), the metaclass level (constructs of modeling languages), the meta-metaclass level (constructs for defining modeling languages), and so forth. ConceptBase.cc is developed by the ConceptBase Team at University of Skövde (HIS). ConceptBase.cc supports Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. ConceptBase.cc is free software distributed under a FreeBSD-style license.
