jq is like sed for JSON data - you can use it to slice, filter, map and transform structured data with the same ease that sed, awk, grep and friends let you play with text. jq is written in portable C, and it has zero runtime dependencies. KenyDraw is a very simple ASCii editor. Most programs written for this purpose are windows-only, which is why this project aims to support as many UNiX-like OSs as possible. The program is currently known to work on Linux and FreeBSD on xterm.
