To allow for widget-specific keybindings and expansion, there is the idea of widget selection in bottom, where you can focus on a specific widget to work with it. bore is a simple CLI tool for making tunnels to localhost
A modern, simple TCP tunnel in Rust that exposes local ports to a remote server, bypassing standard NAT connection firewalls. That's all it does, no more and no less. This will expose your local port at localhost:8000 to the public internet at bore.pub:<PORT>, where the port number is assigned randomly. Similar to localtunnel and ngrok, except bore is intended to be a highly efficient, unopinionated tool for forwarding TCP traffic that is simple to install and easy to self-host, with no frills attached. (bore totals less than 400 lines of safe, async Rust code and is trivial to set up — just run a single binary for the client and server.) The easiest way to install bore is from prebuilt binaries. These are available on the releases page for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Just unzip the appropriate file for your platform and move the bore executable into a folder on your PATH. While it does not aim to support all of find's powerful functionality, it provides sensible (opinionated) defaults for a majority of use cases. First, to get an overview of all available command line options, you can either run fd -h for a concise help message or fd --help for a more detailed version. fd is designed to find entries in your filesystem. The most basic search you can perform is to run fd with a single argument: the search pattern. Instead of just showing the search results, you often want to do something with them. fd provides two ways to execute external commands for each of your search results: the -x/--exec option runs an external command for each of the search results (in parallel), or the -X/--exec-batch option launches the external command once, with all search results as arguments. -

This project is heavily inspired by the super colorls project but with some little differences. For example it is written in rust and not in ruby which makes it much faster. Install the patched fonts of powerline nerd-font and/or font-awesome. Have a look at the Nerd Font README for more installation instructions. Don't forget to setup your terminal in order to use the correct font. lsd can be configured with a configuration file to set the default options. On non-Windows systems lsd follows the XDG Base Directory Specification convention for the location of the configuration file. The configuration dir lsd uses is itself named lsd. On Windows systems lsd only looks for the config.yaml files in one location. You can also provide a configuration file from a non standard location. -

Onefetch is a command-line Git information tool written in Rust that displays project information and code statistics for a local Git repository directly on your terminal. Terminal bandwidth utilization tool
bandwhich sniffs a given network interface and records IP packet size, cross referencing it with the /proc filesystem on linux, lsof on macOS, or using WinApi on windows. It is responsive to the terminal window size, displaying less info if there is no room for it. It will also attempt to resolve ips to their host name in the background using reverse DNS on a best effort basis. bandwhich can be installed using the Rust package manager, cargo. It might be in your distro repositories if you're on linux, or you can install it via rustup. Cargo installs bandwhich to ~/.cargo/bin/bandwhich but you need root priviliges to run bandwhich. To install bandwhich on OpenWRT, you'll need to compile a binary that would fit its processor architecture. This might mean you would have to cross compile if, for example, you're working on an x86_64 and the OpenWRT is installed on an arm7. -

A command-line tool and library for generating regular expressions
grex is a library as well as a command-line utility that is meant to simplify the often complicated and tedious task of creating regular expressions. It does so by automatically generating a single regular expression from user-provided test cases. The resulting expression is guaranteed to match the test cases which it was generated from. This project has started as a Rust port of the JavaScript tool regexgen written by Devon Govett. Although a lot of further useful features could be added to it, its development was apparently ceased several years ago. The plan is now to add these new features to grex as Rust really shines when it comes to command-line tools. grex offers all features that regexgen provides, and more. The philosophy of this project is to generate the most specific regular expression possible by default that exactly matches the given input only and nothing else. With the use of command-line flags (in the CLI tool) or preprocessing methods (in the library). -
