This release runs on OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Linux, OS X and Solaris. tmux depends on libevent 2.x, and on ncurses. To build tmux, a C compiler (for example gcc or clang), make, pkg-config and a suitable yacc (yacc or bison) are needed. Some platforms provide binary packages for tmux. -

To allow for widget-specific keybindings and expansion, there is the idea of widget selection in bottom, where you can focus on a specific widget to work with it. Install the patched fonts of powerline nerd-font and/or font-awesome. Have a look at the Nerd Font README for more installation instructions.
