    monolith

    monolith

CLI tool for saving complete web pages as a single HTML file

...You can finally replace that gazillion of open tabs with a gazillion of .html files stored somewhere on your precious little drive. Unlike the conventional “Save page as”, monolith not only saves the target document, it embeds CSS, image, and JavaScript assets all at once, producing a single HTML5 document that is a joy to store and share. If compared to saving websites with wget -mpk, this tool embeds all assets as data URLs and therefore lets browsers render the saved page exactly the way it was on the Internet, even when no network connection is available.

    bottom

    bottom

Yet another cross-platform graphical process/system monitor

...By default, bottom is somewhat like a dashboard - a bunch of different widgets, all showing different things, and they all cram together to fit into one terminal. If you instead just want to see one widget, maybe you want to look at a graph in more detail, for example, you can "expand" the currently selected widget using the e key, which will hide all other widgets and make that widget take up all available terminal space. To allow for widget-specific keybindings and expansion, there is the idea of widget selection in bottom, where you can focus on a specific widget to work with it. This can be done with the mouse (just click on the widget of interest).

    Notcurses

    Notcurses

blingful character graphics/TUI library. definitely not curses

...What it is not: a source-compatible X/Open Curses implementation, nor a replacement for NCURSES on existing systems. Notcurses abandons the X/Open Curses API bundled as part of the Single UNIX Specification. For some necessary background, consult Thomas E. Dickey's superb and authoritative NCURSES FAQ. As such, Notcurses is not a drop-in Curses replacement. Wherever possible, Notcurses makes use of the Terminfo library shipped with NCURSES, benefiting greatly from its portability and thoroughness. Notcurses opens up advanced functionality for the interactive user on workstations, phones, laptops, and tablets, possibly at the expense of e.g. some industrial and retail terminals.

    desk

    desk

A lightweight workspace manager for the shell

...Change directory, activate a virtualenv or rvm, load in domain-specific aliases, environment variables, functions, arbitrary shell files, all in a single command. Instead of relying on CTRL-R to execute and recall ("that command's gotta be here somewhere..."), desk helps shorten and document those actions with shell aliases and functions, which are then namespaced under a particular desk. Because Deskfiles are just enriched shell scripts, the possibilities are endless. For example, when doing work on AWS I have desk securely load AWS API keys into environment variables via pass -- no effort on my part, and no risk of accidentally persisting that sensitive information to a history file.
