    Release It!

    Release It!

    Automate versioning and package publishing

...Use release-it v14 for environments running Node.js v10 and v12. Although release-it is a generic release tool, installation requires npm. To use release-it, a package.json file is not required. The recommended way to install release-it also adds basic configuration. You will be prompted to select the new version, and more prompts will follow based on your setup. Run release-it from the root of the project to prevent potential issues. Out of the box, release-it has sane defaults, and plenty of options to configure it.

This is a glorified cli tool built on top of the build kit. The goal of this project is to be able to build container images for unprivileged users. Running unprivileged allows companies who use LDAP and other login mechanisms to use img without needing root. This is very important in HPC environments and academia as well. Currently, this works out of the box on a Linux machine if you install via the directions covered in installing from binaries. ...
