    tetris

    tetris

    A terminal interface for Tetris

A terminal interface for Tetris. Installation on MacOS and Linux is outlined below. Windows support is questionable, but you can try to install from source. The default game is run by simply executing the tetris command. If the unicode characters look a bit wonky in your terminal, you can also run. People seem to have varying levels of success with the linux binary. Please note that it is compiled dynamically and hence should not be expected to work on most distros. This code is built on top of brick which makes building terminal user interfaces very accessible.

    Next Terminal

    Next Terminal

Open source interactive audit system that supports RDP, SSH, VNC,

The Next Terminal open-source project has gained nearly 3,000 Stars on GitHub and has a large number of users, so you can absolutely trust the stability of Next Terminal. You can access RDP, SSH, VNC, TELNET and other protocol assets in a system without plug-ins, just a browser. You can view the currently active sessions at any time, and monitor and block them. For character protocols, you can even restrict the execution and logging of certain commands. Next Terminal observes and logs every online resource, connection, interactive session and other security event in all environments. These events are recorded in a structured audit log, making it easy to see what is happening and who is responsible. Next Terminal is developed with Golang. After compilation, there is only one binary file, and the built-in sqlite can be used to store files. It is very lightweight and supports one-line command installation.

    Asciiquarium

    Asciiquarium

Enjoy the mysteries of the sea from the safety of your own terminal

asciiquarium is a playful terminal-based program that generates an animated aquarium entirely in ASCII art. It brings to life fish, whales, sharks, turtles, submarines, and other ocean-themed elements swimming across the screen, creating a lighthearted visual display for the command line. The project is written in Perl and designed to run in Unix-like environments, making it simple to install and execute on most systems. While not intended as a practical tool, asciiquarium has become a popular example of creative programming in the terminal, often used for fun or as a screensaver-style distraction. The animation is randomized, so each run produces a slightly different underwater scene. As an open source project, it has been adapted and extended by the community over time, ensuring compatibility and continued enjoyment for terminal enthusiasts.

    JC

    JC

    CLI tool and python library

CLI tool and python library that converts the output of popular command-line tools and file types to JSON or Dictionaries. This allows piping of output to tools like jq and simplifying automation scripts. jc JSONifies the output of many CLI tools and file types for easier parsing in scripts. This allows further command-line processing of output with tools like jq or jello by piping commands. The JC parsers can also be used as python modules. In this case, the output will be a python dictionary, or a list of dictionaries, instead of JSON. Two representations of the data are available. The default representation uses a strict schema per parser and converts known numbers to int/float JSON values. Certain known values of None are converted to JSON null, known boolean values are converted, and, in some cases, additional semantic context fields are added.

    Release It!

    Release It!

    Automate versioning and package publishing

Generic CLI tool to automate versioning and package publishing-related tasks. Use release-it for version management and publish to anywhere with its versatile configuration, a powerful plugin system, and hooks to execute any command you need to test, build, and/or publish your project. The latest major version is v15, supporting Node.js 14 and up (as Node.js v12 is EOL). Use release-it v14 for environments running Node.js v10 and v12. Although release-it is a generic release tool, installation requires npm. To use release-it, a package.json file is not required. The recommended way to install release-it also adds basic configuration. You will be prompted to select the new version, and more prompts will follow based on your setup. Run release-it from the root of the project to prevent potential issues. Out of the box, release-it has sane defaults, and plenty of options to configure it.

    bandwhich

    bandwhich

    Terminal bandwidth utilization tool

bandwhich sniffs a given network interface and records IP packet size, cross referencing it with the /proc filesystem on linux, lsof on macOS, or using WinApi on windows. It is responsive to the terminal window size, displaying less info if there is no room for it. It will also attempt to resolve ips to their host name in the background using reverse DNS on a best effort basis. bandwhich can be installed using the Rust package manager, cargo. It might be in your distro repositories if you're on linux, or you can install it via rustup. Cargo installs bandwhich to ~/.cargo/bin/bandwhich but you need root priviliges to run bandwhich. To install bandwhich on OpenWRT, you'll need to compile a binary that would fit its processor architecture. This might mean you would have to cross compile if, for example, you're working on an x86_64 and the OpenWRT is installed on an arm7.

    monolith

    monolith

CLI tool for saving complete web pages as a single HTML file

A data hoarder’s dream come true, bundle any web page into a single HTML file. You can finally replace that gazillion of open tabs with a gazillion of .html files stored somewhere on your precious little drive. Unlike the conventional “Save page as”, monolith not only saves the target document, it embeds CSS, image, and JavaScript assets all at once, producing a single HTML5 document that is a joy to store and share. If compared to saving websites with wget -mpk, this tool embeds all assets as data URLs and therefore lets browsers render the saved page exactly the way it was on the Internet, even when no network connection is available.

    JiraCLI

    JiraCLI

    Feature-rich interactive Jira command line

JiraCLI is an interactive command line tool for Atlassian Jira that will help you avoid Jira UI to some extent. This tool is not yet considered complete but has all the essential features required to improve your workflow with Jira. The tool started with the idea of making issue search and navigation as straightforward as possible. However, with the help of outstanding supporters like you, we evolved, and the tool now includes all necessary features like issue creation, cloning, linking, ticket transition, and much more. Note that some features might work slightly differently in cloud installation versus on-premise installation due to the nature of the data. Yet, we've attempted to make the experience as similar as possible. jira-cli is available as a downloadable packaged binary for Linux, macOS, and Windows from the releases page.

    XcodeGen

    XcodeGen

A Swift command line tool for generating your Xcode project

XcodeGen is a command line tool written in Swift that generates your Xcode project using your folder structure and a project spec. The project spec is a YAML or JSON file that defines your targets, configurations, schemes, custom build settings and many other options. All your source directories are automatically parsed and referenced appropriately while preserving your folder structure. Sensible defaults are used in many places, so you only need to customize what is needed. Very complex projects can also be defined using more advanced features. Generate projects on demand and remove your .xcodeproj from git, which means no more merge conflicts! Automatically generate Schemes for different environments like test and production. Share build settings across multiple targets with build setting groups. Easily copy and paste files and directories without having to edit anything in Xcode.

    webhook

    webhook

webhook is a lightweight incoming webhook server to run shell commands

webhook is a lightweight configurable tool written in Go, that allows you to easily create HTTP endpoints (hooks) on your server, which you can use to execute configured commands. You can also pass data from the HTTP request (such as headers, payload or query variables) to your commands. webhook also allows you to specify rules which have to be satisfied in order for the hook to be triggered. For example, if you're using Github or Bitbucket, you can use webhook to set up a hook that runs a redeploy script for your project on your staging server, whenever you push changes to the master branch of your project. If you use Mattermost or Slack, you can set up an "Outgoing webhook integration" or "Slash command" to run various commands on your server, which can then report back directly to you or your channels using the "Incoming webhook integrations", or the appropriate response body.

    PHP File Manager

    PHP File Manager

phpFileManager a complete filesystem management tool on a single file.

phpFileManager is a complete filesystem management tool on a single file. A server administration tool using PHP, meant for rapid file access, and also to verify the server configuration and security. The script can be renamed and deployed on an unique known url, and offers password protection.. All dependencies, like images, js and css files, are included inside the same file, so that the script can run even on offline devices, like a local Raspberry Pi, or ESP32 microcontroller. The size of the script is bellow 1Mb, and i want to make it even smaller. To conclude, this script is also a repository of several hand made functions, organized in sections, meant for learning PHP and explore all PHP capabilities. You can learn, copy and use them on your own projects. Help the project with a donation: Will allow the view of two phpFileManager from diferent URLs on the same screen. Like MC (Midnight Commander) does. https://www.dulldusk.com/product/donation-for-phpfilemanager/

    Muon SSH Terminal/SFTP client

    Muon SSH Terminal/SFTP client

Graphical SFTP client and terminal emulator with helpful utilities

Easy and fun way to work with remote servers over SSH. This project is being renamed as previous name "Snowflake" is confusing since there is already a popular product with the same name. Muon is a graphical SSH client. It has an enhanced SFTP file browser, SSH terminal emulator, remote resource/process manager, server disk space analyzer, remote text editor, huge remote log viewer, and lots of other helpful tools, which makes it easy to work with remote servers. Muon provides functionality similar to web-based control panels but, it works over SSH from the local computer, hence no installation is required on the server. It runs on Linux and Windows. Muon has been tested with several Linux and UNIX servers, like Ubuntu server, CentOS, RHEL, OpenSUSE, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, and HP-UX. The application is targeted mainly towards web/backend developers who often deploy/debug their code on remote servers and not overly fond of complex terminal-based commands.

    SwiftFormat

    SwiftFormat

A command-line tool and Xcode Extension for formatting Swift code

SwiftFormat is a code library and command-line tool for reformatting Swift code on macOS or Linux. SwiftFormat goes above and beyond what you might expect from a code formatter. In addition to adjusting white space, it can insert or remove implicit self, remove redundant parentheses, and correct many other deviations from the standard Swift idioms. Many programmers have a preferred style for formatting their code, and others seem entirely blind to the existing formatting conventions of a project. When collaborating on a project, it can be helpful to agree on a common coding style, but enforcing that manually is tedious and error-prone, and can lead to arguments if some participants take it more seriously than others. Having a tool to automatically enforce a common style eliminates those issues, and lets you focus on the behavior of the code, not its presentation.

    cool-retro-term

A good looking terminal emulator which mimics the old cathode display

cool-retro-term is a terminal emulator which mimics the look and feel of the old cathode tube screens. It has been designed to be eye-candy, customizable, and reasonably lightweight. It uses the QML port of qtermwidget (Konsole). This terminal emulator works under Linux and macOS and requires Qt 5.2 or higher. Settings such as colors, fonts, and effects can be accessed via context menu. Just grab the latest AppImage from the release page and make it executable and run it. Make sure to install the dependencies first. Once you installed all dependencies (Qt is installed and in your path) you need to compile and run the application. Also, before the building process, remember to install Xcode and agree to the licence agreement.

    Hyper.is

    Hyper.is

A terminal built on web technologies

The goal of the project is to create a beautiful and extensible experience for command-line interface users, built on open web standards. In the beginning, our focus will be primarily around speed, stability and the development of the correct API for extension authors. The user can hot-load and hot-reload plugins by pressing Command + R (refresh). Please strive to make plugins that don't require a complete restart of the application to work. Plugins affecting the `BrowserWindow` will the effect on new windows after hot-reload. On the main process, plugins are registered as soon as possible (we fire onLoad). On the browser, it's up to the user to trigger their load by pressing command+R. We put the user in control of the loading in this way to prevent them from losing critical work by extensions that reset state or don't preserve it correctly.
