Open Source BSD Telnet Software

A cross-platform ANSI-BBS terminal designed to connect to remote BBSs via telnet, rlogin, or SSH. Supports ANSI music and the IBM charset when possible. Will run from a console, under X11 using XLib, or using SDL.

tn5250 emulates a 5250 terminal or printer over telnet, for connecting to IBM Power Systems, iSeries and AS/400 computers running IBM i, i5/OS and OS/400. It runs on any Unix or Windows system. Note that this project is now on GitHub at https://github.com/tn5250/tn5250

TinTin++ is a console mud client for any type of text mud or bbs. The mud client's main assets are an easy to learn scripting language, triggers, automapping, and a split screen interface to separate mud output from client input. Qodem is a a terminal emulator that resembles the BBS-era Qmodem. Includes phonebook, scrollback, capture, X/Y/Zmodem, Kermit, ANSI (+ music) / Avatar / VT102 / Linux emulation, Unicode, and keyboard macros. Connects over serial, ssh, telnet, rlogin.

FreeHost3270 is a complete 3270-to-web solution, providing single-point deployment of legacy 3270 applications to unlimited clients. It delivers either a java applet-based TN3270 emulator, or a stand alone application with rich GUI.

ICMP Shell (ISH) is a telnet-like protocol. It allows users to connect to a remote host and to open a shell using only ICMP to send and receive data. ICMP Shell was written in C for the UNIX environment.

ISeeWhatYouAreDoing is a useful tool for getting screenshots and executing commands over Tcp/Ip or Ftp. Because it has NO security the Tcp/Ip part shouldn't be used in public networks (Use a firewall! :)). It was designed for easily keeping an eye on what people in your home network are doing and (if necessary) turn f.e. your brother's computer off when he forgot. As said it is able to work on very bad connections. Bin/Bin.zip is the basic package with client and a gui server, Bin/Hidden_Server.zip contains the "serious" version with a useful config.txt, no gui (server should run in background) and uses mainly ftp to get its commands, although you can connect via Tcp/Ip and the client from the Bin/Bin.zip or Bin/Client_Only.zip package. The hidden server has an English readme! For further information about the usage of the program please look at Doc/ or at the readmes in Bin.zip (currently both German, sorry). I hope v0.3.0 will follow till 12/12.

The project shows implementation of Telnet Server in java that uses Knock Knock jokes for conversation with the client.

Just a simple telnet server for those who have none. Written in Java this telnet server relys on telnetd2 from Dieter Wimberger as basic framework and adds a shell that runs on Windows and Unix.

A C# .net VT/Telnet terminal emulator. The project is still very much in development but the Terminal is quite useable and fairly tolerent. It requires a c# 2 compiler. If anyone has taken this project any further, I'd love to see the results.
