Kanidm is a simple and secure identity management platform, allowing other applications and services to offload the challenge of authenticating and storing identities to Kanidm. The goal of this project is to be a complete identity provider, covering the broadest possible set of requirements and integrations. You should not need any other components (like Keycloak) when you use Kanidm - we already have everything you need. To achieve this we rely heavily on strict defaults, simple configuration, and self-healing components. This allows Kanidm to support small home labs, families, small businesses, and all the way to the largest enterprise needs. If you want to host your own authentication service, then Kanidm is for you.

Get an overview of a directory, even a big one. That's what makes it usable where the old tree command would produce pages of output. Hit alt/enter and you're back to the terminal in the desired location. This way, you can navigate to a directory with the minimum amount of keystrokes, even if you don't exactly remember where it is. Broot is fast and doesn't block (any keystroke interrupts the current search to start the next one). Never lose track of file hierarchy while you search. Broot tries to select the most relevant file. You can still go from one match to another one using tab or arrow keys. You may also search with a regular expression. To do this, add a / before the pattern. You may also apply logical operators or combine patterns, for example searching test in all files except json ones could be !/json$/&c/test and searching carg both in file names and file contents would be carg|c/carg.

Admin your machines without giving users full root shells, define roles with regex if you like. Most admins have experience of regex in one form or another, so lets configure access that way.
