Jenga stands for "Java Engine for Games" and is a very simple to use 2Dgame engine. It was especially designed for beginners and kids which e.g. don't need to be familiar with event-driven programming techniques. On the other hand it is fairly optimized for low CPU consumption to make the games run even on poorly equipped machines like a Raspberry PI.
Arcan is a portable and fully scriptable frontend for launching games, emulators and other full-screen applications in a visual appealing way, as seamlessly as possible. The API is sufficiently complete for other projects as well, e.g. rapid game prototyping
(both 2D and 3D).
