For those running an "headless" server or any other host which has no HID/ input devices, occasions arise to maintain an program running all the time. This program does just this: Check if an task is running (we depend on) and, after an settable delay, run our program and wait until it exits, delay again and after the same delay, repeat all in an infinite loop. Keeping our program running despite segfaults or other errors etc. -

snap2 is a powerful rsync-based backup program (shell script) for Linux desktop PCs. It has a user-friendly GUI. It creates automatically-rotating 'snapshot' backups, or a mirror backup. It can also be run non-interactively, via cron.

Remove lib32 packages from your Archlinux box
Use this command-line script when you feel you have too much lib32 packages installed and you want to cleanup your system. Ok, but how does it work? Each time you run it, it will look for lib32 packages currently marked as "installed as dependency for another package" in the "Install Reason" (pacman -Qi <pkg>) that are not needed anymore by any other pacakge and then will uninstall them, with user's approval. You'll probably want to run this script more than once as, by uninstalling one package, another installed as dependency might be not needed anymore. P.S.: packages not marked as "installed as depedency" will not be listed neither removed. -

Created as a more sensible alternative to MacPorts, Fink, and Homebrew, Pacmac was inspired by Archlinux's pacman, but is not a port. All files except packages are plain text, and all executables are scripts. No compilers are necessary to create packages, just request the package by name and Pacmac will resolve the dependencies for you.
