CheckeredFlag is a super simple mail server. The intended use is for local application development that needs to be able to send email. Google Apps Domain Administrator implements select gmailsettings and appsforyourdomain routines from the API which I found useful in managing my domain. Specific gmailsettings are forwarding address, POP settings, IMAP settings, send-as address, and vacation message. Specific appsforyourdomain information includes name, email, and nickname addresses. You must be a Super Admin for the Google Apps domain you are logging in to.
