An operating system written in D
PowerNex is a microkernel operating system written entirely in the Nim programming language. Designed as a learning and research project, it explores OS development using a modern high-level systems language while still offering low-level control. PowerNex focuses on modularity, simplicity, and code clarity. This is the fifth or sixth generation of this idea, the big difference being that we have written some bootloader code and have started mapping out the kernel layout and structure. We have decided upon a core programming language for the kernel, and the core language for almost everything else.
