The nesbox/emulator is an open source, browser-based emulator for a collection of retro gaming systems (NES, Super Nintendo, Sega Mega Drive, GameBoy, etc.). It’s written in ActionScript/Flash, and the project includes SWF binaries so you can embed the emulator into web pages. FileReader is a polyfill library combining JavaScript and Flash (SWF) to mimic the HTML5 File API in older browsers (notably Internet Explorer and Safari versions that did not support File API fully). It overlays a transparent Flash SWF over a DOM element to allow users to select files, then exposes a .files attribute etc., so that client-side file reading behaves more like modern standard. It is unmaintained now, since File API support is widespread.
