Colorize given text pattern on linux terminal
Linux CLI filter for colorizing given text pattern on terminal using ANSI colors. Supports extended regular expressions to specify text pattern.
Linux system monitoring tool for multiple hosts
hostscope displays key system metrics of Linux hosts, such as detailed CPU load, speed and temperature, I/O rates of network interfaces, I/O rates of disks, and user process summary information. All metrics are multicast on the LAN, if wanted, and clients can switch between multiple hosts on the network.
ipset set listing wrapper script
ipset_list is a wrapper script for listing sets of the netfilter ipset program. It allows you to match and display sets, headers, and elements in various ways. The result can be saved as shell script and in ipset save, or xml format.
Советы и скрипты для Thinstation 5

Collate and count ldap entries
This program allows you to easily collate and count entries by selecting an attribute. Entries are searched and then grouped by attribute occurrence, which is then printed as result.
Replace/add/delete LDAP attributes online with regular expressions
Replace, add and delete values of LDAP attributes online with regular expressions. Automate daunting data maintenance Tasks. Save yourself from the need to fiddle around with LDIF Change files (or create them based on the replacement result)!
ldap-searchEntries.pl is a small perl script that searches for entries based on a list provided by STDIN. The values given from STDIN are parsed into a filterstring containing placeholders. The found DNs are printed to STDOUT for each search. Parameters allow fine tuning of all features including attribute printing.
LDAP tools to support formerly NIS environments.
Many enviroments are switching from the Network Information Service (NIS) system over to the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) for sharing their network information (login names, passwords, home directories, group information) to all of the machines on the network. NIS was formerly known as Sun Yellow Pages (YP). This package implements several utilites that provide functional equivalents to utilities from the yp-tools and util-linux-ng package.
sed-like modify and convert LDIF files using regular expressions
This small perl tool allows you to easily modify LDIF files with the power of regular Expressions. Unlike the sed-command this tool deals well with LDIF files, supporting base64 encoding/decoding and wrapping/folding. It can be used in a pipe, making it the ideal choice for automation and enhances common commands like ldapsearch and ldif-extract.
It is a shell library to import other shell scripts as libraries.
As a library we consider a simple shell script containing function and/or variable definitions. Libinclude offers you the possibility to use those kind of libraries in a comfortable manner. The usage is very close to the syntax of python's import statement. Functions (FUNC) and variables (VAR) in a library (MYLIB) can be simply included, but also imported in their own namespace (MYLIB_VAR, MYLIB_FUNC). It also provides the import MYLIB as ALIAS and the from MYLIB import FUNC statement, like in python. To ensure the usability of the libraries across different OS and/or software configurations, libinclude provides some features to be utilized in the libraries. One can define dependencies with 3ed party programs, which will be checked while importing and returns a meaningful error message if not met. To adopt the library to different environments, conditional comments provide the possibility to include code blocks depending on defined conditions, or run code on file inclusion.
"loop_daemon" - maintain a program running no matter what.
For those running an "headless" server or any other host which has no HID/ input devices, occasions arise to maintain an program running all the time. This program does just this: Check if an task is running (we depend on) and, after an settable delay, run our program and wait until it exits, delay again and after the same delay, repeat all in an infinite loop. Keeping our program running despite segfaults or other errors etc.
Local ORganazing PAradigm is an enforcer of a local home structure that allows one to move personal utilities, data and configurations between *nix systems, in particular to those ones where the user has no privileges other than regular user.
mkpwd is a password generating program
mkpwd is a password generating program. It is designed to satisfy a scalable range of security demands. It's standard behavior is to generate one password consisting of any of all printable ASCII characters (32-128) with a length between 6 and 10. You can modify the way passwords are generated via command-line switches. You can specify a length range, the characters used and even let mkpwd generate passwords which are kind of readable and therefore easier to remember
Programmable completion specification for nfacct (netfilter.org)
Programmable completion specification for nfacct (netfilter.org)
A Mono .NET cron tool particulary suited for Business Intelligence purposes. Works with standard cron strings but adds recoverability functionality.
hook pam to authenticate users against anything
This project allows pam to authenticate users against anything. We have a sql database of users with hashed passwords that we want to use for an sftp server. pam-anyauth combined with pam configurations allow the sftp server to permit/deny based on current credentials in the database. There is room to add more types of authentication and improve the overall process.
An essential utility, passgen was written in response to the lack of a useful password generator, which should be standard issue for any multi-user machine. passgen generates passwords which comply to security stds recommended by CERT, NIST and others.
This utility reads the name of the Linux LVM2 volume group that a physical volume belongs to directly from the metadata stored on disk.
Filesystem as Class and Object Hierarchy - Files, Dirs, and Branches
The 'filesysobjects' package provides utilities for the application of basic object oriented features onto filesystems. This includes basic coverage of the 'inspect' package for the simplified gathering of information on packages, modules, and files. Nickname - Yggdrasil https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yggdrasil The component PySourceInfo is now a seperate project, see: http://pysourceinfo.sourceforge.net PyPi: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pyfilesysobjects
Moved to http://pyfilesysobjects.sourceforge.net/
This exists due to a typo only, see : https://sourceforge.net/p/pyfilesysobjects/
Prints aboslute paths of existing files.
ABOUT Print absolute paths of files. All paths that exist are printed. (ie, noting softlinks and mount points can be need revealing). realpaths(1) is a realpath(3) clone and was made due to some realpath bugs. unlike realpath(3), realpaths(1) does not bake or guess part of the path: it only uses info from Linux and or libc from the filesystem of real files. It runs about same speed though. It's important when dealing with symlinks and mounts to use real information. realpath(3) has a coulple other glitches i noted however some might be found in realpaths(1) - - but the major issue is whether guessing is allowed. it is NOT tested by a world of people so note it's "a beta"
