A small operating system, compatible with MS-DOS, written in assemly
MiniTAK is a small operating system for x86 computers to run in processor real mode. One of the main goals in designing and developing this operating system was to be fully compatible with MS-DOS operating system and its application programs. To minimize the size of this operating system, it is completely written in assembly language and can boot on any 8088 compatible processor. This project is an attempt to develop an optimized operating system which can be used to replace MS-DOS, adding new modern features. This operating system is completely written by me in 2004, as a result of about 5 years full research and development. And now in 2014, I want to publish it to the world. This operating system supports FAT12 file system, and allow to run many MS-DOS applications.
Crosos is a SubLinux Distribution
Crosos is a open-source OS. It is based on the Linux Kernel and mostly uses the same code in Ubuntu (but it has been derived from Debian)
A 65C02 Emulator for Microchip PIC24/33
EM-65C02 emulates a Western Design Centre (WDC) 65C02 microprocessor on a Microchip PIC24/33 microcontroller. The code supports varying amounts of RAM and ROM depending on the features of the host device. The emulation speed depends on the device and its oscillator configuration. A PIC24EP running at 70MIPS has emulates a 65C02 running at about 6Mhz. The example code configuration uses a copy of the BBC BASIC ROM image and a simulation of enough of the Acorn MOS to make the BASIC work using a serial UART connection.
Unisystem--OS for old PCs
This was a old crummy project, no longer supported. Heavily based on KolibriOS, this project was abandoned. Do not even bother to download, instead check my latest project, a challenge, completely written in NT Batch, the System Anarchist. Break the rules!
Small utility to control CD/DVD/BD-ROM tray. Able to open, close, lock and unlock tray of any mounted removable device using customizable hotkeys or GUI. MS Windows XP, Vista or 7 required.
A small operating system
TianrunOS is an open source of 32-bit operating system, the kernel using OSASK, only 80 KB. It is not on the basis of such as Linux kernel, it is fully developed from scratch, in the capacity of one floppy disk GUI, multitasking, multilingual advanced features, such as the startup time for only 1 second. TianrunOS its most notable feature is the volume is very small, we have a lot of people think that the operating system must be a very big, but was not the case TianrunOS, TianrunOS now is still can't keep this 100 KB size, but it is indeed an operating system, the operating system or multitasking and graphics mode. TianrunOS is a micro-kernel operating system, is a lot of places are adopted, the operating system of the assembly language to write, the naturally operating system volume is very small. a secure, open source OS for use inside USEagency facilities
A secure and open source operating system. All communications that reasonably can be will be encrypted. It will also have fined-tuned firewall capabilities, with a default policy of deny all inbound except HTTP HTTPS and SSH. Web browser will be sand boxed from other parts of the OS. In order to access saved passwords, cache, cookies, ect in web browser, username/password are required. Downloaded files (and any other files entering the system) will be subjected to both an exception-based and signature-based virus scan. After that, they will be placed in a leveled security storage space, each more secure--with the most secure being 50. Under 50 will be 46-49; under that is 36-45; under that is 27-25; under that is 26; under that is 14-25; under that is 6-13; under that is 5-3; lastly there is level 2 the most insecure. The operating system itself will require many passwords: boot up, access logon screen, login, admin, and more/ Mainly, it will be built with strong security as its base
