Exton|OS 64 bit based on Ubuntu/Debian with Budgie Desktop
ABOUT Exton|OS is based on Ubuntu 64 bit and Debian. Exton|OS ISO file is a ISO-hybrid, which means that it can easily be transferred (copied) to a USB stick. IMPORTANT ABOUT REFRACTA TOOLS Refracta tools are pre-installed in Exton|OS . Use Refracta snapshot to create your own live installable Ubuntu system. RUNS FROM RAM Another great thing is that Exton|OS can run from RAM. Use Boot alternative 3 (Load to RAM). When the system has booted up you can remove the disc (DVD/CD) or USB stick. You'll need at least 2 GB RAM to run Exton|OS that way. I.e. superfast! USB installation To enable persistence you can install Exton|OS to a USB stick in the same way as a hard drive installation. It’s a bit tricky though, since you have to chroot into the system on the USB stick to perform the Grub installation. I.e. to make the stick bootable. Read my INSTRUCTION at http://www.exton.net/?p=789 UPCOMING UBUNTU 18.04 Build 180301 is based on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

exGENT Live DVD is - as the name suggests - based on Gentoo Linux
exGENT version 170412/170407 Linux Live DVD's are - as the name suggests - based on Gentoo Linux. The best thing with exGENT is the premier auto detection of hardware and the ability to relatively easily install the system to hard drive during a live session. Xfce 4.12.1 and LXQt 0.11.0 are used as Desktop environments. Used kernel: 4.10.4. INSTALLATION The systems can easily be installed to hard drive and/or a USB flash drive. The installation takes 3 - 10 min. (Depending on computer type). ROLLING DISTRIBUTION Gentoo/exGENT is a "rolling" distribution, which means that you can always get the latest software without reinstalling. GO FOR IT! You'll run exGENT super fast in RAM. The launch from the DVD becomes a little slow, but then... A wonderful way to run Linux if you have enough RAM. You'll need at least 3 GB. SPOTIFY Just emerge it! (Pre-installed in both builds). WHO IS exGENT/Gentoo FOR? Experienced Linux users or those who really want to learn Linux.
