Built with debian tools, packages, and currently based on the stable branch (Bullseye). Here I try not to use software from outside of the debian repositories. For all intents and purposes, this is just debian paired with the mate desktop environment with a lot of hardware support taken care of. Debian mate doesn't force you into new conformancy. We use the mate desktop environment here; no gnome 4 or unity for anyone. With a start menu and a taskbar, you're good to go. This is just another decent desktop use operating system, but better. Take a good long stare at my packages (check readme.txt).

AliOS Things was released at the 2017 Hangzhou Yunqi Conference. It is a highly scalable IoT operating system under the AliOS family for IoT. It was announced as open-source on GitHub on October 20, 2017. The latest version is AliOS Things 3.3. AliOS Things supports multiple CPU architectures, including ARM, C-Sky, MIPS, RISCV, etc. AliOS Things adapts layered architecture and component architecture. Alibaba's value-added and commonly used IoT components, including LinkSDK, OTA (safety differential upgrade), ulog (log service), uData (sensor framework), uDisplay (graphic interface), WiFi distribution network, etc. All modules exist in the form of components, configured through yaml, the application can easily select the required components. Make sure that CoqIDE (8.6 or newer) is installed and coqidetop or coqidetop.opt (coqtop for Coq versions before 8.9.0) is in your PATH. Also, make sure the python command is recognized on your machine. If not you can set up an alias for it e.g. python-is-python3 on Ubuntu. There are a number of convenience improvements over standard Jupyter notebook behavior that are implemented to support Coq-specific use cases.

You must use a .img writing tool to write FarmBot OS onto the microSD card. We recommend downloading and installing balenaEtcher for this purpose.

A POSIX-like x86-64 kernel and userspace written in Crystal. A CPU with x64 support is required to run the OS. The Makefile provides a script that will run QEMU on the kernel. To run with storage, an MBR-formatted hard drive image with a FAT16 partition must be provided in the running directory with the name drive.img. The kernel will automatically boot the main.bin executable on the hard drive, or panic if it can't be loaded.
