WinDirStat (Windows Directory Statistics) is a disk usage statistics viewer and cleanup tool for Windows. On start up, WinDirStat reads the whole directory tree once and then presents it in three useful views: - The directory list, which resembles the tree view of the Windows Explorer but is sorted by file/subtree size, - The treemap, which shows the whole contents of the directory tree straight away, - The extension list, which serves as a legend and shows statistics about the file types. This project serves as a collection of different free software projects that I'm working on. The major ones are currently "HFSExplorer", "DMGExtractor", and "NTFS-3G for Mac OS X".

Ext2Fsd is an open source Linux ext2/ext3 file system driver for Windows systems (2K/XP/VISTA/WIN7/WIN8, X86/AMD64).

The Ext2 Filesystem Utilities (e2fsprogs) contain all of the standard utilities for creating, fixing, configuring , and debugging ext2 filesystems.

UltraDefrag is a disk defragmenter for Windows, which supports defragmentation of locked system files by running during the boot process. It is easy to use without any complicated scripting or a huge load of configuration settings. You can filter the files processed by size, number of fragments, file name and path. You can terminate the process early by specifying an execution time limit.

VeraCrypt is a free disk encryption software brought to you by IDRIX (https://www.idrix.fr) and based on TrueCrypt 7.1a. It adds enhanced security to the algorithms used for system and partitions encryption making it immune to new developments in brute-force attacks. It also solves many vulnerabilities and security issues found in TrueCrypt. This enhanced security adds some delay ONLY to the opening of encrypted partitions without any performance impact to the application use phase. This is acceptable to the legitimate owner but it makes it much harder for an attacker to gain access to the encrypted data. Dokany is the fork of Dokan, a user mode file system library that lets you easily and safely develop new file systems on the Windows OS. When creating new file systems on Windows, you need to develop a device driver that works in the kernel mode on Windows-- a difficult task without technical Windows Kernel knowledge. Dokany makes it easy. It enables you to create these file systems without device drivers, and is completely free to download. It is similar to FUSE, and also offers compatibility with a FUSE file system.

The Activity Indicator utility is a simple program that indicates the HDD activity in the system tray. It contains advanced logging capabilities and friendly interface. httpfs depends on FUSE. It uses HTTP/1.1 extensions to read arbitrary bytes from a file on a web-server. This is particular interesting for an iso, since it can be investigated (loop device) without actually downloading the whole iso.

Text and binary file transformation. Text-based sed, awk, etc. failed me when I needed a simple way to transform binary files to something else. Transformenator is what resulted.

droiD64 is a graphical filemanager for D64 files (Commodore 64 and others). May this tool make life easier for Commodore 64 fans, especially for those using MAC and Linux systems as there are tools available for Windows anyway.

Development on this project has moved to https://sourceforge.net/projects/ntfs-3g/ The goals of this project are: create a new Linux kernel driver for the NTFS file system (1.2, 3.x, and later), user space utilities (e.g. format, ntfs check, etc.) and a library to avoid code duplication and provide access to NTFS to other GPL programs.

myrescue is a program to rescue the still-readable data from a damaged harddisk. It is similiar in purpose to dd_rescue, but it tries to quickly get out of damaged areas to first handle the not yet damaged part of the disk and return later.

Policy engine and reporting tool for large file systems. It maintains a replicate of filesystem medatada in a database that can be queried at will. It makes it possible to schedule mass action on filesystem entries by defining attribute-based policies, provides fast 'find' and 'du' enhanced clones, gives to administrators an overall view of filesystem contents through its web UI and command line tools.
