Real-time frameworks/RTOS based on active objects & state machines
Real-time frameworks/RTOS for building responsive and modular real-time embedded software as systems of active objects (concurrent state machines). The QP family consists of QP/C, QP/C++, and QP-nano frameworks, which are all strictly quality controlled, superbly documented, and commercially licensable. The behavior of active objects (a.k.a. actors) is specified in QP by means of hierarchical state machines (UML statecharts). The frameworks support manual coding of UML state machines in C or C++ as well as automatic code generation by means of the free QM modeling tool. All QP frameworks can run on bare-metal MCUs, completely replacing a traditional RTOS. Ports and ready-to-use examples are provided for major embedded CPUs, such as ARM Cortex-M, ARM7/9, MSP430, as well as Arduino and mbed. QP/C and QP/C++ can also work with a traditional RTOS/OS, such as ThreadX, FreeRTOS, embOS, and uC/OS-II as well as Linux (POSIX), Windows.

Scientific/engineering firmware repurposing HP business calculators!
This project has created scientific firmware for the HP-20b and HP-30b business calculators. The WP 34S turns either of these calculators into a powerful keystroke programmable scientific device. According to our customers, it's the most powerful and fastest RPN scientific pocket calculator ever built. The WP 34S is alive and stable since 2011. We have succeeded in satisfying the most picky users - read about their experiences on http://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/forum-8.html. Find the Owner's Manual v3.2 at https://www.createspace.com/4106229 In 2014, we've updated the WP 34S to version 3.3. Our customers confirm its documentation is excellent and comprehensive (see feedback); an updated printed edition is available from https://www.createspace.com/6329314 since June 2016. We have also produced the WP 31S which is derived from the WP 34S source code. This is an entry-level scientific calculator. Its printed manual is available from https://www.createspace.com/4773370

SmartSlog (Smart Space Ontology) is a software/application development kit (SDK or ADK) for programming Smart-M3 agents (Knowledge Processors, KPs) that consume/produce smart space content according with its high-level ontological representation. SmartSlog applies the code generation approach: given an OWL ontology description, the ontology programming library is produced. The latter provides API to access the smart space via a Smart-M3 Semantic Information Broker (SIB) and data structures and functions to represent and maintain locally in KP code all ontology classes, relations, properties, and individuals. Since 2012 the project is supported by grant KA179 of Karelia ENPI programme, http://kareliaenpi.eu/ More information about project: http://oss.fruct.org/wiki/SmartSlog Smart-M3 on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smart-M3

Modular CNC software for Arduino controller
The goal of the project is the realization of a modular firmware that allows to control a CNC machine with different utensils. For instance, a CNC with a drill, with few changes can become a plotter with a pen or cutting machine to cut cardboard or stickers. In order to do that, we want project a CNC router with a mechanism that allows a fast utensil change and a controlling firmware which can use different utensils changing some configuration parameters.
ELKS is a subset of the Linux kernel that runs on IBM compatible PCs from 8086 up. It is intended to get use out of obsolete old hardware, for use in embedded systems, and as an educational tool. ELKS has been moved to Github to protest SourceForge's installer adware hijacking. This does not directly affect ELKS, but it does affect many major open source projects such as Gimp and FileZilla by attempting to trick the user into installing adware in order to download these programs. I refuse to leave ELKS here with such policies in effect. If you have questions about this, please email email@example.com.

ext2/3/4 library for microcontrollers
The main goal of the lwext4 project is to provide ext2/3/4 filesystem for microcontrollers. It may be an interesting alternative for traditional MCU filesystem libraries (mostly based on FAT32). Lwext4 may be used with SD/MMC card, USB flash drive or other block based memory device. However it is not good for flash memory–based storage devices. Code is also available on github: https://github.com/gkostka/lwext4 Feel free to contact me: firstname.lastname@example.org
Arduino Engine Management System
This project is based on the original open source MegasquirtAVR, which became the closed source commercial product known as VEMS. There is a full copy of the original website in the Downloads section. It has the same features as Megasquirt 1 and can be tuned in MegaTunix, MegaTune or TunerStudio as a Megasquirt 1 B&G2.0-3.0. The code is compiled for the ATmega328p so the supported boards should be: - Arduino Uno - Arduino Duemilanove - Arduino Diecimila - Arduino NG - Arduino Extreme v2 - Arduino Extreme Note: only tested on Arduino Duemilanove No schematics are available yet, but please have a look at the MegasquirtAVR schematics. It is meant for the ATmega128 so not pin compatible.
