AVR ATmega port of freeRTOS A port of freeRTOS which can be flexibly flexibly configured use almost any available Timer on AVR ATmega devices and will operate with almost any classic Arduino device from Arduino, SeeedStudio, Sparkfun, Freetronics or Pololu. Going forward this repository will be updated less often and only with major releases. Please check at Github for the latest commits. https://github.com/feilipu/avrfreertos The Goldilocks Analogue story is told here. http://feilipu.me/?s=Goldilocks+Analogue The Goldilocks 1284p story is here. http://feilipu.me/2013/03/08/goldilocks-1284p-arduino-uno-clone/ If this repository is too complicated to get started, a minimum AVR freeRTOS configured using the Watchdog Timer and Heap 3 is also also available. https://github.com/feilipu/miniAVRfreeRTOS For the Arduino platform there is a freeRTOS Library available in the Arduino IDE Library manager. https://github.com/feilipu/Arduino_FreeRTOS_Library
Modular CNC software for Arduino controller
The goal of the project is the realization of a modular firmware that allows to control a CNC machine with different utensils. For instance, a CNC with a drill, with few changes can become a plotter with a pen or cutting machine to cut cardboard or stickers. In order to do that, we want project a CNC router with a mechanism that allows a fast utensil change and a controlling firmware which can use different utensils changing some configuration parameters.
Arduino Engine Management System
This project is based on the original open source MegasquirtAVR, which became the closed source commercial product known as VEMS. There is a full copy of the original website in the Downloads section. It has the same features as Megasquirt 1 and can be tuned in MegaTunix, MegaTune or TunerStudio as a Megasquirt 1 B&G2.0-3.0. The code is compiled for the ATmega328p so the supported boards should be: - Arduino Uno - Arduino Duemilanove - Arduino Diecimila - Arduino NG - Arduino Extreme v2 - Arduino Extreme Note: only tested on Arduino Duemilanove No schematics are available yet, but please have a look at the MegasquirtAVR schematics. It is meant for the ATmega128 so not pin compatible.

HTML and HTTP as single executable file
The idea of the project came from my embedded projects. Almost every embedded device requires that or another management interface. In 99% in all devices runs a http server which hosts mini-site integrated with the system through cgi. My idea is creating an HTML compiler. An HTML code with embedded into it C code compiled, and the final product it is just executable file with incorporites HTML code, all images, and HTTP server. The CGI level disappears in such a scheme, the embedded C code just executed when the page generated by server.

Embedded JPEG encoder
Jpegant is a compact JPEG encoder for embedded applications. It is intended to be executed on small microcontrollers or microprocessors. High speed and small memory usage is its main concern. It implements a subset of JPEG standard. Now the code contains JPEG decoder so if you decided to use nonstandard transform or entropy coding in encoder you still will be able to decode bitstream (provided that you keep the decoder in sync of course). Release 1.1 source code and Windows executables are on the download page. For the latest release code look into the repository in 'release-1-0' branch. The SSE2 inplementation is present in 'simd.0' branch in the repository.

BitBurner hosts a full-function hex editor capable of direct transfers to and from all memory spaces of all devices. BitBurner contains a complete fuse and lock calculator with an extensive database describing all AVRdude's supported devices and more. BitBurner has innovative automation functions intended to simplify and accelerate the build process. By monitoring project output files BitBurner can trigger programming actions without direct interaction.
A system for programming LPC, STM32 and possible others devices.
This project provides three different interfaces for programming embedded chips: a GObject based library (for developers), an executable binary (for computer geeks) and a GTK+3 front-end (for less geeky users). Actually NXP LPC and STM32 based chips are supported.
Arduino lx200 based computerized telescope
Arduino al/az mount controller based on lx200 protocol.
This project is a modification of the project started by Derek Wight (found here https://sourceforge.net/projects/barebonespic/). "A bare-bones PIC programmer. This low-voltage programmer runs from the serial port of a Windows PC using a handful of inexpensive components." Notable changes here: 19-Oct-2016 - The clock is inverted and pulled low during blank events before/after programming. - The RichTextBox control has been replaced by an edit control. (RTB is considered unsafe and was being blocked by newer Windows installations). - The .exe is a release copy, no debug info hanging around. - The COM ports get selected properly. 20-Oct-2016 - Changed EditBox to Read-Only - Changed font and font size - Added vertical scroll bar

C-Library for microcontrollers to control SED1531 based LCD's
The GLCD SED1531 Library provides functions to draw pixels, lines, filled- and open rectangles and text for micro-controllers such as the Atmel 8-bit AVR series for (very cheap!) SED1531 controller based graphical LCD's. The library is written with portability to other micro-controllers and compilers in mind; all target specific parts are stored in a separated header file . The included example is for the Atmel ATtiny2313 and AVR-GCC. It is expected that other targets can be supported with minimal effort. A demo of this library can be watched here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQqIEX8LDhk
Synthesizing embedded control software from formal specifications
autoCode4 is an engine that synthesizes controllers from formal specifications described under a subset of linear temporal logic (LTL). Importantly, it synthesizes synchronous dataflow controllers (in Lustre or in Ptolemy II form) and maintains requirement-to-code traceability. Such feature is mandated in developing safety-critical systems and are considered essential for specification validation or integrating manual implementation such as legacy code. The LTL specification captures the desired behavior of a controller where the environment takes the first move (i.e., sense/input then react/output), so the synthesized controller can be viewed as a Mealy machine. A step-by-step tutorial is available within the software package.
An Open-Source Library for Low-Power Approximate Computing Modules
The “lpACLib” library contains the VHDL description of accurate and approximate versions of several arithmetic modules (like adders and multiplier of different bit-widths) and accelerators. Moreover, it also provides the corresponding software behavioral models/implementations developed in C and MATLAB to enable quality characterization. Besides our novel designs, it also contains implementations for several state-of-the-art arithmetic modules and their approximate versions. This open-source library facilitates research and development in approximate computing at higher abstraction levels, and to facilitate reproducible research and comparisons. In case of usage, please refer to our publication: Muhammad Shafique, Rehan Hafiz, Semeen Rehman, Walaa El-Harouni, Jörg Henkel, "Cross-Layer Approximate Computing: From Logic to Architectures", Design Automation Conference (DAC), 2016.
