Disk Inspection and Monitoring
smartmontools contains utility programs (smartctl, smartd) to control/monitor storage systems using the Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology System (S.M.A.R.T.) built into most modern ATA and SCSI disks. It is derived from smartsuite.
Ganglia is a scalable distributed monitoring system for high-performance computing systems such as clusters and Grids. It is based on a hierarchical design targeted at federations of clusters. Supports clusters up to 2000 nodes in size.
Fault tolerant, POSIX-compliant, network distributed filesystem
MooseFS (MFS) is a fault tolerant, highly performing, scaling-out, network distributed file system. It spreads data over several physical servers which are visible to the user as one resource. For standard file operations MooseFS mounted with FUSE acts as other Unix-alike file systems: * A hierarchical structure (directory tree) * Stores POSIX file attributes (permissions, last access and modification times) Supports special files (block and character devices, pipes and sockets) * Symbolic links (file names pointing to target files, not necessarily on MooseFS) and hard links (different names of files which refer to the same data on MooseFS) * Access to the file system can be limited based on IP address and/or password MooseFS on GitHub: https://github.com/moosefs/moosefs Source code, packages repo: https://moosefs.com/download.html Documentation: https://moosefs.com/documentation.html Recent changes: https://moosefs.com/documentation/changes-in-moosefs-3-0.html
UPDATE: Chromium is no longer updated or maintained. The project is frozen. Chromium is a flexible framework for scalable real-time rendering on clusters of workstations, derived from the Stanford WireGL project code base.
a 3d replacement for mosix's boring text based mon program. Interaces with gomd (www.nonngu.org/gomd) so you dont have to run this big openGL app on your cluster, just a handy server.
Atomatrix is a multithreaded execution system of atomic matrices with a dynamic compiler and a network eviron. It is the next generation object-orientated environment. XML, MUD-OO CLI, GnucDNA support, windows and many subprojects are built-in.
This project is a .NET implementation of the JavaSpace API along with the some examples using spaces. The software was written using the JavaSpace specification and not any other implementation. Persistence is provided via Bamboo Prevalence.
The BCR flavor of Cooperative Data Sharing (CDS) is a scalable, portable, flexible C-based API and daemon for initiating and communicating between processes/threads in uniprocessor and multiprocessor (e.g. distributed, SMP, and parallel) platforms.
OpenSysAdmin is the first open source project to offer a complete web hosting control panel, with all of the features found in market leading closed sourced systems. The system offers a simple web based control panel to admins, resellers and end users.
Portal Logic(Deamon) Basically Functions as a Service Replay System in distributed environment. It is generically coded to perform Service based protocol translation, where in an cluster for example could interact with the deamon for Service Request.
Framework for debugging and monitoring (distributed) C/C++ applications.

Ruby script for converting csv lists of computer names and their other attributes into a cluster ssh or .csshrc file.
As of now, you can get Ehcache only from ehcache.org or Maven central. A simple, fast, thread safe, standards based cache for Java, and provides memory and disk stores and distributed operation for clusters. ehcache is widely used in such open source projects as Hibernate and Spring. Terracotta offers enterprise edition
p2pcc is a project to enable Gentoo users to join a distributed compile of something and share the resulting binaries and to donate their spare CPU time to other users who are compiling something.
A distributed evolution simulation. Features a separate client and server. The client uses OpenGL and OpenAL for visualation and auralization.
Supermon is a high-speed cluster monitoring system. Intended to monitor both OS and hardware health and status data of cluster nodes.
