Timer wakes up the computer from the shut down state using the BIOS clock and alarm time (RTC-Alarm). The computer is booted and a user program is started. A next wake-up (restart by BIOS) is programmed and Timer shuts down the computer again.

Cloudium OS is being written in pure ASM. It's designed for speed and ease, having cloud computing in mind. It also is secure (without requiring constant user input like Windows). But, how are we going to do this? Well every os wants/says these kind of things, so to accomplish our goals we follow these simple rules: keep it simple (that's way better then these complex interfaces etc. almost nobody wants), generalize (this makes things easier and more useful without extra complexity) and be inventive (sometimes doing it the classical way just doesn't work). This is a small program that reads and writes the WakeUp time in the BIOS. This is done via /dev/nvram on recent kernels (>2.4.6, including 2.6.x) or, alternatively, via direct ISA access. On this WakeUp time the computer is powered on automatically.

Mainly this project aims at easing startup and use of XCSoar (see xcsoar.org) on Kobo Mini. But the scope of use should not be limited solely to XCSoar. The Launcher should be small in code size, reuse most of the original libraries, provide flexible configuration to any application that might be ported to the Kobo Mini. It supports customizable fonts, toolbox-pages, buttons (also graphical), labels, autostart and sleep timers.

Es werden keine Root Partitionen entfernt oder erstellt Um das Programm per GUI über den Desktop zu benutzen, kopiere die addfstab und remove-device Menü Einträge auf den Desktop. Ziehe die Freigaben zum Icon und gebe die entsprechenden Benutzernamen und Passwörter ein. When you open the client, you will be presented with an OpenGL window displaying the groups and the programs in each group. Click on a group (or press enter) to start the execution of its programs. A timer will count down from a number of seconds - when it reaches 0 the selected group will be executed. Startup Selector allows you to start programs in a specific order, and allows you to define pauses between their execution.
